2) S-400 is already compromised as against China since China already have S-400 (India's gift to China)
3) There is not much diplomatic benefit since Putin needs China more

THAAD & PAC-3 are both better than S 400 on technical specifications period. Probably cost is the reason.India just buy weapons from Russia & france historically and is continuing that tradition + we may get S 500 in future to. You could probably see indian S400 in red flag in future for F 35 practice or on exercises we do with UK.

Did indian ask for it ? I seriously have no idea. I made an assumption that if they did offer...cost was probably the reason for rejection...3 billion USD for one THAAD battery is insane now it's probably upward of 5 billion & Why do you think US would not have offered. Tali ek haat se nahi bajti. Relationships are two way street. I mean people in this forum say don't trust US Muh US this US that.....while there beloved Tejas just fly on US engine's. There is limit for hypocrisy.
