There is a limit to propaganda and CNN does not know it:frusty:
This news is found nowhere else. There are liveleak videos showing ISIS militants TRYING to shoot down Russian helicopters.

If this was really broadcasted, it is rather revealing.

this link is apparently a repost from YEARS back. Which is funny.

No those photos are 100 percent from Iran. try to google this picture and you will get your answer

Then you should watch those photos EXIF metadata to see their geo tag to figure out exact place.
And of course you should notice that you see a Kh-101 empty shell without warheads.
This means that missile has already heat its targets (Kh-101 has 2 warheads).

Stealth kh-101

KH-55

So Russia gave her latest stealth technology to Iran

I hope we will see the Iranian version soon
TOT is not possible by just analysing wrecks of something. Russians should build research institutes, univercities, grow and educate 2 or 3 generations of scientists and engineers in one stream. Then they should build all the several hundreds of production facilities in the technology chain, teach workers and technologists and then, as a big cherry on the huge cake they (Iranians) will build a missiles production facility.

It's not about propaganda. Learn about Elena Vasilieva and her participation in Ukraine civil war.

Several prominent US politicians have called Assad "the butcher." Do we need to take their words at face value, or should we talk to the Syrians instead?

Even western news media cannot hide the truth.

Rather, that is from a youtube video Posted in 2012.

Then it was apparently claimed to be regime copter.

One on liveleak claimed that it was a video ADVERTISEMENT about how some company's heli engines are durable regardless of what happens to them.

No unconfirmed report. It is deliberate misinformation.

The meeting between Putin and khamenei was very warm and friendly , and the main subject was also Syrian civil war...

It seems that both of them were very happy

Iran reliable ally for Russia

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Leader of the Islamic Republic no power would impose its will on Syrian people and decide on their behalf on Syrian future political structure.
Leader’s official website report quoted Mr. Putin’s remarks in his meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei earlier on Monday, where Mr. Putin expressed gratitude for meeting with the Leader; “bilateral relations between Iran and Russia in diverse fields as aerospace and technologies has taken a rapid turn, and we are happy that Russia along with Islamic Republic of Iran, has played an active role in resolving regional and international crises,” he told the Leader.

Putin also praised the Islamic Republic as an independent and strong country with bright futures on the horizons; “Russia considers Iran as a reliable ally in the region and the world at large; we are committed to a general avoidance of betraying our partners and stabbing our friends coming out of the dark, and are committed to negotiation and diplomacy in solving any differences,” Mr. Putin said figuratively.

Putin described Iranian and Russian positions on Syria very close; “we both emphasize that crisis in Syria will be solved only if all Syrian groups of all ethnicities participate in elections and that world powers recognize this political means to bring stability to the country; we strongly believe that no country is in a positon to decide on behalf of Syrians on their future government,” he emphasized.

Putin emphasized upon the continuing nature of air strikes against terrorist strongholds in Syria and believed Tehran-Moscow sharing beliefs was necessary for a diplomatic solution; “countries with a claim to democracy could not oppose to elections in Syria,” he concluded.

Leader urges vigilance to thwart US plot for West Asia

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the long-term US plot for Western Asia is against the interests of all countries, particularly Iran and Russia, urging vigilance and close interaction to thwart the scheme.

In a meeting with visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Tehran on Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei said the US has a long-term plot to take control of the whole of West Asia by dominating Syria and then expanding its dominion over the entire region, saying, “This plot is a threat to all nations and countries, particularly Russia and Iran.”

The Leader hailed Russia’s influential role in regional issues, particularly in the Syrian conflict, and said Moscow’s decisions and measures in dealing with developments in Damascus enhanced the regional and international standing of Russia and President Putin in particular.

“The Americans have always been trying to place their rivals in a position of passivity but you have foiled such a policy,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The US and its followers are seeking to achieve through political means and negotiations the objectives that they have failed to obtain via military approaches, the Leader said, adding vigilance and a proactive stance are necessary to prevent this goal from being realized.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Washington’s insistence on the ouster of Syria’s legitimate and democratically-elected President Bashar al-Assad is among the weaknesses of the US policies.

He said the Syrian president, in a national election, succeeded in winning the majority of votes of the Syrian people with “different political, religious and ethnic” viewpoints and emphasized that the US has no right to ignore the Syrians’ choice.

The Leader said every solution on the Syrian crisis should be endorsed by the country’s nation and officials.

Russia’s Putin donates a special gift to Ayatollah Khamenei

Visiting Russian president Vladimir Putin donated a special gift to Iran’s Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during a meeting held in Tehran on Monday, Iranian local media reported.

Putin, who is in Tehran to attend the summit meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), gave one of the world’s oldest Quran manuscripts to Ayatollah Khamenei, another sign showing the strengthening relations between the two countries.

Russian President met with Iran’s Supreme Leader as part of his visit to Tehran to attend the third meeting of fuel-exporting countries.

He is also set to meet Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.

Vladimir Putin became the first Russian leader to visit Iran since World War II when he held talks with Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 2007.

The third meeting of fuel-exporting countries was opened in Tehran on November 23 by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, and prior to the meeting of the heads of the member countries, their ministers of oil and energy will meet beginning November 20.

Report: Russia Begins Ground Operations in Syria
The Jerusalem Post, citing a Kuwaiti newspaper, reports that “Russian forces have already taken over multiple strategic positions and have forced numerous rebel battalions to retreat”

Rudy Panko | Russia Insider

Now fighting in Syria?

Citing a Kuwaiti daily, the Jerusalem Post is reporting that Russia has begun ground operations in Syria — and is helping to hold recent territorial gains made by Syria’s army against the “moderate” rebels (yes, that includes ISIS). The report claims that

Russian military forces have been providing cover for T-90 tanks along with military air support which have attacked multiple strategic targets held by rebel forces in Idlib and Latakia.

In September, multiple US officials claimed that Russia had positioned about a half dozen tanks at a Syrian airfield at the center of a military buildup.

One US official said seven Russian T-90 tanks were observed at the airfield near Latakia, a stronghold of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The Kuwaiti report adds that Russian forces have already taken over multiple strategic positions and have forced numerous rebel battalions to retreat. The report did not disclose whether there were Russian army casualties.

Iran’s state-controlled Fars news agency is also reporting this story — an interesting move, considering Iran’s close military cooperation with Russia in Syria.

The reality is that there is almost certainly some level of Russian involvement on the ground against ISIS and its “moderate” partners in crime. It could be a handful of Russian military advisors, or limited special operations carried out by Russia’s elite forces. Or, as this report claims, it’s possible that Russian forces have begun to help Syria consolidate gains made possible by Russia’s devastating air campaign.

According to Assad, Syrian forces are advancing on “almost” all fronts — and they probably need help holding these positions.

The truth, whether we want to admit it openly or not, is that no war can be won from the air. You need boots on the ground. But are they Russian boots? According to this new report, some of them are.
____________________________
Commentary: It is difficult to confirm how much of this is true. I am certain the Russian military planners are aware of mission creep. What seems likely is the presence of a limited number of advisors. More confirmation is needed.

A NEW LOW: US TV Depicts Russian ISIS Tanker Strikes as American
Public Broadcasting Service - hang your head in shame!

(Moon of Alabama) | Russia Insider

US fuel - going up in smoke, just like US narrative

Originally appeared at Moon of Alabama

U.S. media can no agree with itself if Russia is giving ISIS an airforce or if Russia pounds ISIS with the biggest bomber raid in decades. Such confusion occurs when propaganda fantasies collide with the observable reality.

To bridge such divide requires some fudging.

So when the U.S. claims to act against the finances of the Islamic State while not doing much, the U.S Public Broadcasting Service has to use footage of Russian airstrikes against the Islamic State while reporting claimed U.S. airstrike successes.

The U.S. military recently claimed to have hit Islamic State oil tankers in Syria. This only after Putin embarrassed Obama at the G-20 meeting in Turkey. Putin showed satellite pictures of ridiculous long tanker lines waiting for days and weeks to load oil from the Islamic State without any U.S. interference.

The U.S. then claimed to have hit 116 oil tankers while the Russian air force claims to have hit 500. But there is an important difference between these claims. The Russians provided videos showing how their airstrikes hit at least two different very large oil tanker assemblies with hundreds of tankers in each. They also provided video of several hits on oil storage sites and refinery infrastructure.

I have found no video of U.S. hits on Islamic State oil tanker assemblies.

The U.S. PBS NewsHour did not find any either.

In their TV report yesterday about Islamic State financing and the claimed U.S. hits on oil trucks they used the videos Russia provided without revealing the source. You can see the Russian videos played within an interview with a U.S. military spokesperson at 2:22 min.

The U.S. military spokesperson speaks on camera about U.S. airforce hits against the Islamic State. The video cuts to footage taken by Russian airplanes hitting oil tanks and then trucks. The voice-over while showing the Russian video with the Russians blowing up trucks says: “For the first time the U.S. is attacking oil delivery trucks.” The video then cuts back to the U.S. military spokesperson.

At no point is the Russian campaign mentioned or the source of the footage revealed.

Any average viewer of the PBS report will assume that the black and white explosions of oil trucks and tanks are from of U.S. airstrikes filmed by U.S. air force planes.

The U.S. military itself admitted that its strikes on IS oil infrastructure over the last year were “minimally effective”. One wonders then how effective the claimed strike against 116 trucks really was. But unless we have U.S. video of such strikes and not copies of Russian strike video fraudulently passed off as U.S. strikes we will not know if those strikes happened at all.

Propaganda and reality also collide in the larger U.S. policy on Syria. President Obama claims that the “overwhelming majority of people in Syria” want the Syrian President Assad to leave. But independent British polling in Syria found (pdf) that a strong plurality of Syrians prefers him as president over any of the available alternatives.

And while new research reveals extensive cooperation between NATO member and U.S. ally Turkey and the Islamic State the U.S. is asking for more cooperation with Turkey to shuffle more weapons into the Syria conflict and thereby, inevitably, also to the Islamic State. Some other U.S. allies are likewise deeply involved in financing and equipping the Islamic State.

But Kuwait just arrested a gang that was smuggling weapons from the new U.S. client state Ukraine to the Islamic State. Iraqi military and Shia militia find huge bundles of cash (vid) which were to be smuggled to the Islamic State. How does it come that the otherwise all-seeing (including your emails) U.S. secret services are unable to uncover Islamic State financing and smuggling when smaller states with much less resources can do so?

Does all this sound like the U.S. is really campaigning against the Islamic State? Or is this whole campaign just as fraudulent as the PBS video and Obama’s proclamations? Why is the U.S. so deeply lost on the ‘Dark Side’ in Syria?

A Russian plane (su24) was shot down by Turkish air force.

Russian Su-24 fighter jet shot over Syria - Russian MoD (VIDEO) https://www.rt.com/news/323215-warplane-crash-syria-turkey/

Pilots have ejected but their fate is unknown yet
RT is fair TV channel.
It says nothing is confirmed yet - nither type or the fact of shot down.
As for me, the plane on video resembles much MiG-23ML than Su-24M2.
If Su-24M2 has crashed (which is not confirmed yet) then it will rather be a malfunction due to intensive flightplan multiplied by planes age.
And of course, Turks will not dare to hit Russian plane especially when it's covered by Su-30SMs. They'd rather raise a diplomatic protest note on airspace violation.
