Note that Finland (a Nazi ally) sued for peace with stalin as soon as Estonia fell to Soviets in WW2.. NATO will try to defend Estonia, by using air bases in Finland. Hence, in a Russia NATO war, Both Estonia and Finland will be attacked by Russia simultaneously..

Unlike Ukraine, Russia is extensively rotating its troops.. with only 150k troops operating in Ukraine at any time.. You can see a lot of videos of Russian troops returning home after being rotated out.. It's been four months now, another six months and there would be probably more than a million battle hardened Russian troops, with experience in fighting a NATO trained and backed enemy. RUSSIAN Army will be the army with the maximum experience of modern warfare..
As to equipment, although Russia has lost a lot of Armour.. It must be said that, except for tanks NATO is also rapidly depleting its inventory of anti-armour weapons like javelin and panzerfaust.. also MANPADS like Stinger etc.. are being rapidly depleted.. ( 1/3 rd stocks lost ) .. Now.. NATO nations are stripping themselves of artillery by supplying them to Ukraine.. All this as per NATO sources will take many Years to restock..
So, both Russia and NATO are suffering attrition..

Nope .. Russia won't nuke first in a baltic conflict .. Russia had overestimated NATO ground warfare capabilities.. Especially its ammunition production and stocks..
Although not as mighty as the Soviet Union in ground warfare, Russia is still more than a match for NATO in ground warfare.

Ukraine can't join NATO because a country that is joining NATO cannot have any active conflicts

Finland is as of now not a NATO member so in this small window no Article 5 protection.
