Is Russia at Fault or US/NATO at Fault in Ukraine
Invasion of Ukraine was Russia’s mistake. That should not have happened, despite the fact that all the persuasions had failed. After all, Ukrainians are Russia’s kin and they should have treated each other as disagreeing cousins. In addition, Ukraine had been part of Russia for over 300 years, so it was the moral duty of Ukrainians not to be carried away by Western propaganda.
NATO/US, knew very well that their machination to enlist Ukraine will drive Russia mad, but they still did it. A drama artist with no knowledge of politics was elected as leader (all paid by the West) and he set the ball rolling to invite NATO to Ukraine.
When this issue was raised, the Russians chose to force regime change. Then it was a matter of time when the Russian would strike. They did it on February 24, 2022. It was their worst ever decision. Approximately 150,000 Russian troops with tanks, missiles and helicopters entered Ukraine.
Hardly did they know that the Ukrainians in the last two years had equipped themselves with the Russian weapons and other weapons secretly supplied by NATO and allies. Within three days of crossing the border, the Russians ran into difficulties. The Ukrainian troops manning defensive positions began knocking down their logistics & supply lines. ATGM's wreaked havoc on tanks and troops.
Nearly six weeks later, the Russian invasion is at a standstill. They have withdrawn from a few places to concentrate elsewhere. Now the Russians are bombing unnecessary locations to show off their success. During this war, the power of the media became a reality. There is a misinformation galore. It is difficult to decipher what is truth and what is falsehood. Ukrainian President Zelensky took to the airwaves and did not hesitate to call the Russian aggression a travesty of humanity. Any civilian casualties were multiplied several times over and broadcast. President Zelensky spoke via TV to several parliaments of the Western world. In that he proved himself to be a good speaker. The Bucha civilian killings gave him additional ammunition and became the turning point in the media war.
US participated in the war indirectly. They imposed economic sanctions on Russia and froze its bank accounts. Did this help... not immediately, but the long term impact is unknown. The whole idea is to bankrupt Russia into defeat.
Both militarily, economically and on the internet, Ukraine is winning. Now the Russians are at the wrong end of the stick.
Once again, who's to be blamed. Much of the blame lies with Russia, which started the invasion. Another part of the blame, is with the Ukrainians who got carried away by the western glamor of independence. At this moment, the US and the West are enjoying humbling Russia.
