Cross posting this from BRF

@moderators - maybe this post can be turned into an independent sticky

A humble request to all forum members please contribute for martyr families via https://bharatkeveer.gov.in/

Our amount may not go directly to yesterday's (14/02/2019- Pulwama CRPF Convoy Attack) martyrs but still the fund collected will help other martyr families.

Least we can do & its our moral duty also.

Please do it. __/\__

Only when revenge strikes will done
I dont understand this. What is the urge to visit that shitty forum and post comments ? I stopped commenting long time back. That bloody forum exists coz of indian traffic and chatter. Their ad revenues are generated coz of our footfalls. You want to fight, you fight at all levels. Cut of visits to that forum. This forum is good enough.

How did you get that idea? They are the ones with a $55 billion surplus in bilateral trade.
Look at it from this perspective, its because we buy a lot of stuff from them that is why there is a trade deficit against us. If they were so dispensable we would have diversified our portfolio long ago.

@Why so serious? that's the common message coming out of all govt. spokespersons. This message could have been delivered 20 years ago. The Kashmiri politicians have already amassed a lot of wealth, they don't fear the state. They own properties in London where they can go and live, if they become disenfranchised from India. They also know that India has its hands full. If Kashmiri politician gets killed by a terrorist after removal of security then their entire cadre will become "misguided youth". It's India's fault that we didn't cultivate an alternate political party in Kashmir so we are stuck with these dishonest service providers.
Then deal with the misguided youth. I remember reading, the entire family of the suicide bomber would vanish into thin air in places like Russia. It deters any other would be suicide bomber.

free markets don't work that way.
Chinese sell quality & Cheap goods, hence there is a demand for them.

If these goods are not available from Chinese, the demand would be fulfilled by a Korean or Taiwanese company.

The demand does not simply vanish just because Chinese goods are not present in the market.

The hurt for us would be few goods becoming costlier but for Chinese it will be a loss in revenue and loss of access to one of the largest markets in the world.

They are not indispensable, we buy because they are cheap. Heavens won’t fall on us if we don’t buy Chinese products.

Not really. As you said, free markets don't work that way, you cannot stop Chinese goods from entering India as it would violate WTO norms as well as bilateral treaty norms.

Many of them are indispensable as China is the manufacturing hub of the world and directly or indirectly you will be getting goods from China whether you like it or not. Plus, it is us who have created a demand for these products by wholeheartedly embracing them. Buy cheap or pay a premium, both of them will be from China, you decide.

That’s your opinion, I disagree. The same was said about the US, it didn’t work out that way for China which has taken an enormous hit in the trade war. A lot of what we buy from China is also made in India, we have allowed our manufacturing to take a hit because of political gutlessness. There are very few products that are made in China alone and those do not constitute the bulk of the trade deficit. We certainly can do without Chinese steel, aluminium, even their phones, tv’s and other consumer products. It won’t be India’s loss.

There's lot you can do to damage Chinese'e companies interests in India, while remaining within the bounds of WTO.

Moreover, invoke national security clause to ban or impose high tax on Chinese goods, when it's evident that China is harming our national interests by protecting a terrorist.

Problem is the economic impact as many companies in India have ties to China, even funded by them and Chinese have a lot of people on their payroll.

However, if GoI ever wanted to clean up the system, they will never get a better reason that what happened yesterday.

I disagree but it's a free world so you can have your own opinion.

Nidhi Sethi(deputy editor) of @ndtv is celebrating the #Pulwama attack.

She has been suspended for 2 weeks

Yes, the JNU Delhi type - lovers of terroristan and Muslimstan.

This filth and our in-house muzzies (terrorist supporting kind) are a much bigger threat to our nations integrity than any paki across the border.
