MFN was meaningless anyway since Pakistan had not granted it to India and trade balance was in India's favor (they were sending raw material and we were selling finished goods). We had kept the MFN alive because of our own Baniya-giri. Pakistan never reciprocated.

CCS speaks of further diplomatic isolation. IDK what scope remains for isolation of Pakistan which is being courted by the US for Taliban rapprochement. No keep the relations and simultaneously hit them hard. We have 100 KM range Glide bombs of 1000 KG. just wipe out PA positions near border with heavy 1000 KG bombs. Do it from all sides. It is not viable if we do once in years. Use this as a policy. I remember one incident when Israel was attacked in one such similar incident. I heard this news at 11 in night at BBC before I went to bed. Israel told that she will retaliate. When I woke up and turned on TV, I got the news that Israeli planes bombed GAZA. They must know that response will come invariably.

Next 3-5 days nothing will happen outside of probably some cross-border counter shelling. Whatever our views it remains a fact that our military is NOT in a position to launch snap counter action on anything more than a limited tactical sense.

Strategic action will take time to plan and organize, personnel need to be recalled, munitions prepared from storage, targets picked and attack means selected etc. If you scroll carefully through journo chatter then some hints are coming through that something big has been set in motion but it will be some time before the momentum is built up.

The question as always will be the willpower of the political class (ruling) and the support (or lack thereof) of the opposition. Remember Op Parakram...our people are capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
