I read about it the other day, like i said the law and order in the state need to be in direct control of the Union. Meetei will show sympathy to the militant during this time as they feel the state has failed so it is vice versa for the Kuki as well. So, the state needs to be under direct control by the military so that they can deal with the radical on both sides and leave in peace.

Xenophobia is direct result of isolationism which is result of underdevelopment which is direct result of incompetence justified in not so many words as "tyranny of distance" by previous govts. KPs were xenophobic in early 40's and 50's. Tamils were and some still are xenophobic - but their xenophobic-ness is being tempered down by new economic realities - where they understand their state cant provide all the skills and talents. As NE gets more exposed and integrated with rest of India with infra - you shall see xenophobia reducing. NE, PB states Xenophobia became lethal coz external forces leveraged the same and gave arms to express their xenophobia. Economic integration is the only way out.
