This is already supplemented by other AK-308 with thumb operated fire selector

and also, AKV-751

notice internal spring-mounted sliding dust cover (kinda from Saiga-12) on right side, and left side one is from Galil ACE of course, now if it only had ambidextrous fire selector etc...
they are advertising that upper receiver comes with machined, fixed picatiny rails so accuracy on this design is much better than that on standard AK

Has our infantry used bullpup guns before, or is this tender for special forces only
We're not USA that we'll care about how much familiar our troops are with the previous gun or order the new gun supplying company to put the charging handle and fire selector in exactly the same place it used to be. We simply assume that our Jawans would be Chad enough to use anything we throw at them.

Moreover in the previous competition for 5.56x45mm carbines, both X95 and F90 were there; so I guess there isn't any guideline from MoD that it can't be bullpup.

Depends on who gives the biggest kickbacks.

No bullpup will win anyway. I imagine the Car 817 (if offered), the Sig 716 and the Bren II to become finalists.
Why sig 716 is being allowed when it is incompatible with locally produced ammo and if the ammo news was just a hoax then what's the point of this tender (just put repeat order )

incompatible with locally produced ammo
Because CZ Bren 2 is also incompatible with locally produced ammo.
And ya, Tavor 7 is also incompatible with locally produced ammo.
Btw, MDR and Caracal 817 is also incompatible with locally produced ammo.

Arre Saar, no gun is incompatible with locally produced ammo. It's us, who produces out of spec ammunition. It's a matter of fact that other guns have gas regulator so they somehow manage to work, otherwise they also would have been fooked badly.
