In Kashmir is the room intervention done by RR or are PARA SF? And which unit in Kashmir deal with hostage situation if it arises?

Para SFs most do room intervention.
RR mostly provide the outer security corden.

Only in the last few years RR has the capability to do it if required, I think the QRT members are trained in it.

The answer i was given is wait for atleast 5 years and work in progress

Hmmm. Chalo theek hai. Let's at least arm the army with better guns before we start complaining about these lesser shortcomings. MoD couldn't give two shits about uniforms at the moment.

They can reduce the impact of regular ak47 round but these days porks use steel tipped one so the old armour we use itself have become useless.

5.56 NATO round can penetrate them too.

In essence we can say yes old one won't provide security even against 5.56 forget 7.62 AK .

There is a proposal .... They have shown some new samples too but still it's just floating around for now.

May be in next 2-3 years something concrete will.be visible to us that will take atleast 5 years from that time to completely implement.
