Here last two NOTAM with new one in center. View attachment 30676
They could have just moved the launch corridor a little bit to the left and they won't have to declare split NOTAMs to avoid Andaman. But I believe they are doing this for a reason.

Car Nicobar. Swordfish. Or is it just too convenient ?

Reason for split NOTAM is simple enough. Splash area. For A5 first trial too, DRDO initiated split NOTAM. Being a new system they need to cover every aspect of safety.

K-5 first OFFICIAL test...... :biggrin2: Got it:)
What you mean by first Official test ?
Does that means We had already done some unofficial tests?
What’s the status of Nuclear submarines..officially we have one..what’s the unofficial numbers?
Why after the fist Scorpene launch last Dec17, one full year has passed and there is no news of the 2nd submarine. Have we launched it and keeping it secret or the program has encountered some delay?

All matters of Submarine and Nuke missiles are done with hush hush way. Only PM , President and few members of defence and NSA knows.

If Safety was the concern then why fly over your own Air/Navy bases ? Could have moved the fire corridor a bit to the left and voila, You have a truly open range.

Already 3 scorpenes are in water ins kalvari, khandari, karanj and soon we may hear launch of 4th ins vela so you got it wrong.

Officially 3 ins arihant, arighat and chakra, unofficially minimum 4 and could be 5. Atleast one SSBN ins aridhaman was announced and simply vanished or you may call GHOST submarine...:):)
What you mean by first Official test ?
Finally, we tested k15 8 times in 2008 with several technical tests like ejection from pontoon as back as 2002/3 but first official test announced it only in 2012 and user test in 2013. Now guess how many trials k-5 may have gone through when we're announcing it's first test.:):)

Also I have a gut feeling ins aridhaman is on the prowl as these missiles are what it will be carrying. Also note the timing of modi's announcement of completion of TRIAD. it only hints at ins aridhaman with k5 is already on prowl since it's the only missile which can hit across china from bay of Bengal. For porks 12 k15 on ins Arihant/Arighat is enough or can be called overkill as even land based missiles are also enough.... So if we have credible TRIAD it only means k5 is operational and only being announced now....:biggrin2:

Also, We may actually be testing k6 unofficially currently which could be announced by 2021 when S-4* could be commissioned....:)

What I meant was that Kalvari completed sea trials by Sep17 and was commissioned by PM Modi in Dec17. The timelines for each launch and commissioning was 9 months.
We know that Khanduri and Karanj started their sea trials and after that no news. Sea trials normally takes only 3 months. So was wondering if the cover of secrecy has been put on the commissioning of follow up submarines because our submarine program has reached such a stage that now there is a rapid increase in our capabilities in this arm of our navy which for so many years was neglected and our enemies for obvious reasons won’t like it.
