Qrsam was again succesfully test fired today fr ITR in Chandipur . Today's test demonstrated the performance of warhead and rf fuse in a close proximity warhead detonation setting .

With each test, we are going one step closer to induction .

DRDO is again on a firing spree. And it seems there is a huge requirement from the Army for this Qrsam system.

The IAF will also acquire two digit nos of Qrsam squadrons to augment our SpyDer batteries in the counter standoff pgm lacm roles.

The Qrsam combat groups in IAF service will also be used to protect the S-400 batteries from anti radiation missiles and standoff PGMs. It will play the role of Pantsir SM in IAF service .

India Issues Notification For BrahMos Cruise Missile Firing By IAF


The Indian Ocean Region will witness the massive firepower of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile as Air Force is planning to carry out test firings of the missile system. The defence service is scheduled to carry out test-firings of the BrahMos between 14th – 16th April 2021 in the Indian Ocean Region.


India has issued a Notice To Airmen (NOTAM) for a launch of a BrahMos missile from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands area as per information provided by Twitter based defence website @detresfa_.


The BrahMos missile provides the IAF a much desired capability to strike from large stand-off ranges on any target at sea or on land with pinpoint accuracy by day or night and in all weather conditions.


The IAF is also integrating the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile on over 40 Sukhoi fighter jets which is aimed at bolstering overall combat capability of the force.

Most likely , written experimental , look at the area ,some manuver will be performed or that's for first stage then other curve for second stage , look at area
