Interesting video of Ukrainian products in AFV's that was presented on DEFEXPO 2014. It might interest Indians because Ukrainians presented some damn interesting Arjun upgrades.

By the way @Damian,do you know of any particular books or research papers or web sites that describes working procedures of gun stabilisation systems and digital fire control systems of modern MBTs like Leclerc or M1A2SEP??

Detailed informations about the FCS of many MBTs can be found on the Stefan Kotsch's website :

Das Panzerdetail - Feuerleitanlagen in Kampfpanzern

If I recall correctly, he is a retired german tanker who served as a platoon commander on the T-55A, the T-72M and
the Leopard 1A5 (after the reunification of Germany).

what is interesting, KSA engineers developed their own composite armor, and USA agreed to install their armor on M1A2S.
Will they have at least the knowledge and the skill to know how to develop an efficient composite armor ? :sarcastic:

Or, they had once again hired overseas engineers...

Thank you!
my spoken english is quite fluent, but indeed I have a real problem whit writing
In my case, it's the opposite. But I am quite proud to have fully understood a chinese taxi driver in NYC. :D

Well - I'm a child this strange era in Poland history when russian language wasn't teacht good enought - becouse it was pasee in 1990s but english was not good too - becouse lack of the english tatchers in schools ;-)

Speak for yourself, in my country, we must learn English and Dutch (if you spoke French at home and conversely) in addition to our mother tongue (and some of us speak German...). :der:

I suspect that USA agreed to help KSA engineers.

Hah, check out teh skirts + the rcws position on the tank. If they can put all these upgrades in the Arjun MK I , i bet it'll give the MK II run for it's money eh ?!
Engineers at KMDB are really good. In Soviet Union, KMDB was the most progressive design bureau responsible for tanks development. With such experience and traditions they are one of the best in this region of Europe.

There are some lessons can be learned, MK2 has a RCWS Placement issue, This idea in the vid is quite logical to apply ..

But given that Commander should have his own extra MG ( 7.62 FN-MAG ) besides AAMG in RCWS ..

I would say if not anything else get the ToT for the shaped charge ERA from the Ukrainians.

1. There is not so many T-84 on Ukraina. In fact two prototypes of the Oplot-M, and maybe two-three older ones T-84.
So talking about "T-90" vs T-84" is pointless.

2. What "T-90" whe have sevral diffrent tanks whit codename T-90.
a) erly T-90 (Ob.188) whit cast turret and FCS from T-80U -in fact T-72B on steroids.
b) late T-90A (Ob,.188A1/A2) whit welded and comoletly new turret
c) newest T-90MS (Ob.188M) whit improved ERA protection, better FCS and other difrences.

:cereal: You forgot the Algerian T-90SA (Object 188SA)

These are fitted with air-conditioning, their thermal sights include an automatic target tracker. The turret is the same as the T-90A (welded).

Meanwhile in Iraq, M1A1M have tasted a few shaped charges.

Hi, I was watching the KMDB video and noticed the T-72 upgrade has a 125mm KBA-3 gun but the autoloader is not carousel and instead is the conveyor type autoloader similar to the Leclerc's autoloader. So how is this possible with 2 piece 125mm ammunition? Is the ammunition stored in the autoloader just like an unitary 120mm round?

Stop replying with your silly one liners mate.Give your estimate and logic behind the same.

Thank you....
i know the thing inside out, i know more than many on internet forumers.

the same article mentioned CV 12 Condor as the engine whereas alkhalid has the ukrainian 6td-2. Condor was installed/ tested on 2nd prototype.

from KMDB page, they offer several upgrades for t-72, pretty decent ones.
