About the superiority of the J-20, I also doubt it, but after the joint manoeuvres of the Russian military say that for many of the qualities of the Type 99 exceeds the T-90A engines. But the Chinese have big problems with the engine and the Russian officers doubted the good quality of the armour.

ZTZ-99 to ZTZ-99A1 have a tpical Chinese armor, where there is not very much composite, rather 50% composite 50% airgap due to how armor modules are installed on tank. This is for turret, also turret have weak side protection and not very efficent geometry.

This is why newest ZTZ-99A2 have a bit diferent turret.

Also side hull protection of Chinese tanks is weak.

It has a remote control gun turret and it use play station controls. :cool2:

That is impressive when some one does at home.

Also the slope in front can take on any machine gun.

I would not wan't to fight in this thing, even if anti-armor weapons are absent. These plates are probably normal steel, not armor steel. So even AP ammunition fired from AK or PK can be very dangerous.

But yeah, for something that was done in home garage, it is impressive.

Most likely - yes. The gun is much brighter than the running engine. But much lower heat emission. Shooting produced through 1-2 minutes after the shot.
