I thought, we already established without any doubt that the Flying Kick was delivered by an Indian and it was the chink who got kicked down...also the Indian side was on left as shown by some excellent image/map analysis......this was posted , just two pages back in the same posting......
What I wrote 2/3 pages back was just a counter PR. If you look closely, both groups are present on the road at the top, at the main skirmish area in the middle & also near the hill at the bottom. We are holding the white banner and the Chinese are holding red.

And yes, we are always "right".

The window for any action in the LAC was only possible from the end of September to end of October which is what the Chinese have in mind also . What they tried to do was to make India get out of Dolam without a fight which is why all those rhetoric was given to win a war without firing a bullet ...with floods in the NE we can be assured Chinese trying all their options before pushing for a war . I still expect China will go for small war or skirmishes by September-October....let's wait and see . .

@Kunal Biswas @sayareakd

Ok so the 2 week deadline is over... any news of China ordering a war? :hmm:

Even a Small skirmish needs a lot of movement from their side, which will be difficult for them to hide.
If they strike at some other place than Dokhlam, there is no guarantee that Indian will not strike at Chinese at Malacca Straits.

Any escalation from Chinese side WILL result in a escalation from Indian side.

YOUNG Chinese people are too fat and masturbate too much to be accepted into the army, according to state media.

In one city, 56 per cent of people who apply for the armed forces in China were rejected because of their poor diet and lifestyle, according to the People’s Liberation Army Daily.

The People’s Liberation Army also blamed electronic gadgets for damaging young people’s eyesight (file photo)
In some areas, one in five applicants were deemed to fat for a life in the military as army chiefs blame technology for the poor health of youngsters.

According to a report, the standard of health “is related to sitting too long on computer games, excessive masturbation and too little physical activity”.

Chinese authorities believe that poor diet is a big part of the problem but also that frequent masturbation by young men leads to larger-than-normal testicular veins, and a resultant fall in fitness.

It also claimed 46 per cent of young people were failing the eyesight test during the application process.

This was blamed on the use of electronic gadgets as they said youngsters were wearing out their eyes on phones and other devices.

The report, spread via WeChat, also said young people were drinking too much fizzy drinks and unhealthy food, damaging their liver and kidneys.

The state-sponsored press claimed the US had a rejection rate of 80 per cent in a bid to reassure their readership.

The Defence Ministry told the paper: “China’s recruitment process has strict rules and procedures. The quality of our recruits is guaranteed, and the headwaters of our military will flow long and strong.”

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army is the armed forces of the People’s Republic of China and Communist Party of China.

Off course they cannot hide their troop mobilisation but what will we do even if they mobilise we are not going to cross the LAC and do any preemptive strike . Our stand is clear we will not fire the first bullet . That means we will also not do anything if they move troops into their own territory ..

If they strike anywhere apart from Dolam we escalate it in across all theatres is really upto us and the more we escalate we will be getting stuck . A blockade of Malacca straits is declaration of full fledged war to which we don't know how China will reply back . Let's not forget the world needs China today especially the western and African countries China is the manufacturing base. A economic blockade which will affect these countries will indirectly make them put pressure on India to lift the blockade which may put us in stick situation in friendly relations with those countries . .

After phone-makers, Alibaba's UC Browser comes under govt scanner over data leakage

Indian government has commenced an investigation on popular mobile app Alibaba-owned UC Browser over possible leakage of sensitive user data to a remote server in China.

The Indian government has commenced probe on Hangzhou-based Alibaba's UC Web browser over possible data leakages to a remote server in China.

Popular mobile application UC Web Browser, which has more than 50 percent market share is accused of diverting a massive amount of user search details and also sensitive data such as device identifiers like IMSI (international mobile subscriber identity), IMEI (international mobile equipment identity) numbers and location information to a remote server in China.

Furthermore, UC Web Browser is also said to be accumulating Wi-Fi's access point's network information when user's phone connects to the internet via a wireless router and sending that information to China.

This is a very serious allegation as UC Browser is said to be installed in more than 50 million mobile phones (as per StatCounter) in India and if proved, Alibaba's mobile app will get banned.

Currently, it is being investigated by the Hyderabad unit of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), which falls under the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MEITY) Union Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY).

Earlier in the month, the Indian government asked top 21 smartphone brands, most of them Chinese, to send the details of their infrastructure and processes they follow to ensure the security of the devices.

UC Browser featuresUCWeb Press Kit
India's increasing scrutiny of Chinese-origin companies comes amidst the two-month (and continuing) Doklam stand-off wherein China is accused of trying to build roads near the Doka La pass and encroach Bhutan area, which is guarded by the Indian army.

After making rhetoric remarks against India through media, China seems to have mellowed down its approach after Japan sided with India and other developed countries chose to remain neutral and asked the sparing countries to curb the military standoff through dialogue.

Having said that, the Indian government's plan to send notices to mobile-makers and application developers is a move to improve country's cyber security and also to thwart hacking and ransomware attack, as the country's internet using population is increasing.

The Indian Navy will blockade the Malacca Strait only in the event of a full scale war and not in a local skirmish.

Navy may not actually block mallaca strait but assert power by positioning warships in the area even in case of skirmish. To tell Chinese to back off or get screwed.

Remember the Malabar Exercise with the US and Japanese Navy? Blocking Malacca was one of the objectives of this exercise.

In addition to the Indian and US Navies blocking the Strait, the US Carrier Strike Group is well positioned in the South China Sea to block the Chinese Navy from entering the Strait. No shots may be fired as you said but a show of force. The Chinese will back down as they are aware that they are no patch on the combined navies of adversaries in the region.

Lets not forget the Chinese also has large fleet of cargo ships o_O..

What if they actually put in plan to use these ships to crash on our Warships and damage them and put them out of action ..If the chinese really use this option our war ships are really in great threat compared to theirs ...So blocking Malacca straits is not some kids play that we can do it just at drop of hat ...blocking Malacca also bring the war to the southern part of our subcontinent ...Are we ready to escalate it to such levels especially when economy is not moving up north as expected ..

Plus the biggest joke is on us if we are looking for blocking the chinese ships ..our 80 % oil import is 60 % is shipped by the chinese oil tankers ..What if they decide to stop carrying oil do we have resources to find alternative options to bring oil from Gulf countries ....

Navy may not actually block mallaca strait but assert power by positioning warships in the area even in case of skirmish. To tell Chinese to back off or get screwed.

Home ministry has “approved the construction of a standalone road project from Marsimik La to Hot Spring”

China on Thursday questioned India’s move to build a new road near Pangong lake in Ladakh sector, saying it had “slapped its own face” by allowing such a project along the border that is yet to be demarcated.

The foreign ministry said the new road project sanctioned by India near Pangong lake, where border troops of the two countries clashed last week, was not conducive to maintaining “peace and tranquillity” along the border.

Reacting to a report on the project in Hindustan Times earlier this week, the foreign ministry contended the move revealed a contradiction in India’s stand on construction of structures along the border.

The Hindustan Times report had said the of home ministry has “approved the construction of a standalone road project from Marsimik La to Hot Spring”. Marsimik La in Ladakh is about 20 km from the northwestern tip of Pangong lake. The Border Road Organisation (BRO) has taken over the project after it was cleared by the home ministry.

Foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying reacted strongly when Chinese state media cited the report and sought a reaction at the regular news briefing on Thursday.

“It seems according to reports the Indian side is slapping its own face. The Indian side is closely following China’s road-building recently but India’s actions themselves have proven that the Indian side says something and does another,” Hua said.

“Its (India’s) words are in complete contradiction to its deeds in terms of border issues,” she added. “The western section of the India-China boundary has not been delimited. The two sides have agreed to uphold border areas’ peace and tranquillity before disputes are settled. The current road construction by the Indian side is not conducive to peace and stability in that area and will not help with settlement of the current situation.”

Hua was referring to the intervention in June by Indian troops to block the construction of a road by Chinese troops in Donglang or Doklam near the Sikkim border. New Delhi said the road would alter the status quo and have serious security implications.

China has repeatedly blamed India for “trespass” in the Doklam area and for triggering the two-month military standoff. Dokalm is under China’s control but claimed by Bhutan.

Beijing has also blamed New Delhi for the skirmish near Pangong lake on August 15, saying Indian troops triggered the scuffle in which Chinese soldiers were injured.

The foreign ministry had said on Monday that China has lodged “serious concerns” over the incident which occurred along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). “According to our information, on August 15, the Chinese border troops conducted normal patrol on the Chinese side of the LAC around Pangong area," Hua said on Monday.

“During this process, the Indian side took some violent actions and injured the Chinese border personnel. This has violated the consensus between the Indian and Chinese side in relation to the border issues,” she had added.

Doklam standoff: Countering China in the backyard, Indian Navy silently tightens grip over Indian Ocean

As countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand keenly watch the outcome of the standoff at the Doklam in Bhutan between the Indian and Chinese armies; New Delhi has tasked the Indian Navy to silently spread its influence and further strengthen its grip over the Indian Ocean Region.

Besides, the immediate security concern, India's stand on Doklam is also influenced by the message the outcome of stand-off will send to these neighbouring countries.

For the last two and half months Indian and Chinese troops are engaged in face-off at the Doklam plateau in Bhutan. China wants to construct a road through the plateau. India objects to the road and has deployed army.

A LARGE-MULTI-LATERAL EXERCISE OF INDIAN OCEAN LITTORAL COUNTRIES

For the first time ever Bangladesh - which now heads the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) - with the help of India will be organising a large Naval exercise involving over a dozen countries.

The IONS is an India initiative to increase maritime cooperation among navies of the littoral states of the Indian Ocean Region. The IONS was conceived by the UPA government to get "friendly" navies of the region together to counter the increased aggressiveness of China in the Indian Ocean region.

The exercise - likely to see participation from over a dozen countries - is likely to be held in the Bay of Bengal. The IONS platform had become dormant in the past-few years, "we have decided to revitalize the platform," a senior Ministry of Defence official told India Today and added "a large exercise with the participation of several littoral countries sends a tacit but a clear message."

REACHING OUT TO THE NEIGHBOURS

While China has been reaching out with big bucks, India has decided to take a more benign approach. Indian Navy is launching the Sambandh initiative - Naval officers and cadets from smaller countries that do not have big navies will now be welcome aboard INS Vikramaditya -India's aircraft carrier- Kolkatta class destroyer- the state of the art stealth guided missile destroyer - INS Kalvari - Scorpene Class diesel- electric submarine etc.

"Cadets and officers of smaller navies will get flavour of blue-water navy and how big navies are organised," a senior officer said. Cadets and officers from countries like Bangladesh, Kenya, Oman, Tanzania, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam etc will soon be on these platforms. South Block has already given its clearance to the initiative.

MOBILE TRAINING TEAM

Apart from the Sambandh initiate the Indian Navy is reaching out to the neighbourhood extending his training out-reach programme. Training teams of the Indian Navy will now be going to neighbouring countries.

"Many countries aren't able to send their officers, cadets to a foreign country for training, this initiative will be plug that gap," a senior officer said.

Each Mobile Training Team (MTT) will comprise 8 to 10 officers and can train more of officers at their home bases the officer added. Bangladesh has already asked India to set-up its submarine naval training school.

Earlier, India had trained a group of its submarine cadets at the Visakhapatnam based INS Satavahana. The Navy has been approached by the countries Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar for MTT.

MORE PERMANENT DEPLOYMENT OF INDIAN WARSHIPS

Indian Naval warships will now be permanently deployed at the Malacca Straits -the crucial strait connecting the Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean linking major Asian economies such as India, China, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea- and Indian warships will be more visible at Sunda Straits - a crucial passage that connects Indian Ocean to Eastern Asia.

About 70 per cent of the global trade by value passes through the Malacca and Sunda Straits.
