30 chars Tata LSV
I would like Hub reduction axle on the same. More wheel articulation. Propeller shaft & Fuel tank needs to be better hidden. Compare side of Tata LSV with G Wagon. Look how clean underside is and amount of wheel travel it allows(compared to Tata LSV, those wheel flare - dont seem to leave much room for wheel travel. )

We are yet to see force Gurkha LSV, isn’t it?

All images available online are civilian or old version...

This one is perfect for mountains because of its compactness and shorter wheelbase, the earlier LSV was longer than this model. Plus a V6 or V8 within with all wheel drive would make it a hoot to drive.
Mount CLGM and take it to Tibet border to cause havoc on Chinese armor.

I think the spare wheel could be fixed higher up on the back wall, so that some cargo could be carried in the open rear section.
Big and very heavy wheel, would be a nightmare to mount and unmount if mounts were any higher.

It could be mounted high & left (so the right glass is not covered); and then rolled off the vehicle to the left side.

Or else the rear space is completely wasted - where as it could be used to carry heavy (ammo) boxes etc.

See the full sized Tata LSV - the spare wheel is mounted high and to the side.

Kalyani LSV
The 5 seater armoured vehicle has cargo space and is equipped for special missions. Inspired by Hummer SUV it is also called Light Strike Vehicle!

This is all so confusing

There are a number of competing vehicles and different programs. The original Light Specialist Vehicle order seems to be defunct, and what we now have is Light Strike Vehicle which has been won by Force Motors.

Now Force Motors is a good choice - but why are these different jeeps still running about?

Tata Merlin LSV
Kalyani LBPV
Ashok Leyland LSV
Mahindra ALSV

Export market and LSV’s are still useful for central police forces as well.

And more importantly has anyone seen force motors LSV anywhere? I don’t think even force motors website has the picture of their LSV.
