you see, recently argentina had to back up from the FA-50 sale, due to the Uk not granting the license to south korea for 6 components of the aircraft. The Tejas seems like a more reasonable choice, could this Uk related pars be replaced in the case of an offer to the AAF ? (currently they're looking at the JF-17, when the Tejas is by far superior)
Bdw at certain cases ....that imported part can be replaced ...if larger order is given ....
Bdw many parts are in development ..... indigenously.....Tejas mk1a will have more indigenous content than mk1...
And mwf will have more indigenous content than its predecessor s
The problem with our Tejas is that .....hal can't offer a weapon package with Tejas...like Russian jets comes with Russian bvrs wvrs ,bombs etc
Tejas only has astra (not fired yet)......if hal wants to sale Tejas ..they should integrate indigenous weapons like saaw ... indigenous guided weapons.......
Or hal should ready Tejas for multiple options ....like in wvr r73/python 5 and asraam...
In bvr r77/ astra / derby/ amraam er etc
In case we don't have our weapons on it ....the country who will buy Tejas will get some options to integrate their choosen weapons
.. that's the case with hal lch too......
The gun is from nexter
The a2a missile from mistaral
Rocket from Thales .......
And atgm(will probably from an Indian company)
.... though a 68 mm rocket is in development so...I believe this will replace Thales one ...
Again once mpdms get ready....we can make an a2a short range weapon for helicopters.....
That's another story.....
Bdw jf17 comes with Chinese weapons.....so there is no issues to buy. It
