A detachment of Tejas Mark 1 fighters flew on Saturday from the Indian Air Force (IAF) base in Coimbatore to Changi International Airport in Singapore to participate in the Singapore Airshow – 2022 from February 15-18.

If there was a stopover at A & N, they would have mentioned it somewhere & there would be pictures/videos of the stop/IFR etc. It's a good guess at this point until further information emerges.

HVT told me they go up & fill the DTs in air.. Much more efficient that way. That was one of the reasons IAF wanted IFR so much.

That's right i just realised! 2200kph would be ~1.8 mach. Those numbers should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Mach number is a function of temperature (inverse square root of Temp.). Hence the same speed of aircraft will have different match numbers at different altitudes due to temperature differences.

the commentator at singapore mentioned that the fighters are from squadron number 18 and 45 as well...given that flying daggers inducted IOC config fighters and all at Singapore are with IFR probe...can we infer that the IOC versions have also been upgraded to FOC versions?
if yes...why aren't they deployed in forward bases yet?

No it's not converted to FOC. Probably non flying display is from 18th squadron and IOC one.

Crisp, less unnecessary level flights & quickest turns... like five in a hurry. Dubai was good too, and tolly only flew not Mao. He did Sri Lanka
