Will it have the long legs of a Growler though?
Coming soon Our very own Tejas Growler..

it is rumored to have 18.6kw of jamming powerWill it have the long legs of a Growler though?
So no chance for airborne radars and most ground radars, but some ground based may be able to still track if they are of the fixed type.it is rumored to have 18.6kw of jamming power

imo it will depend upon how far the ew tejas is.So no chance for airborne radars, but ground based may be able to still track if they are of the fixed type.
Rafale will shottdown few Chinese junks from far away distance and rest will run away.not that easy in actual combat ,although then rafale is a potent platform but we still lack numbers..
trimmed means less RAM coat(meaning more rcs) ,less radar power, less ecm powerI think HAL is giving regular tejas, not trimmed one. Anyway, either is fine as long as the high tech stuff (jammers, missiles etc) are the trimmed version.
IK. Also lesser powerful seekers etc on weapons.trimmed means less RAM coat(meaning more rcs) ,less radar power, less ecm power
these versions are not neccsessarily visible unless you operate the aircraft
World doesn't work that way. No mater what you do no one remains dependent on other; if you try brinkmanship no one likes you and you will never sell in future.. Not even super powers are able to do this successfully, let alone country like India.Wouldn't them buying your fighters make them dependent on you and hence less likely to go bat shit crazy against you? Does it not give you more leverage?
That is not how jamming works. Having higher power increase the distance but higher power doesn't guarantee jamming; radar can always tune-out certain frequency or signal above predetermined receive power. So no chance for airborne radars and most ground radars, but some ground based may be able to still track if they are of the fixed type.
Great. Trying to maximise the utility of the Tejas platform.
Coming soon Our very own Tejas Growler..
Keep less but keep better seems like new philosophy of IAFWTF ??

if so then tejas mk1a will have more powerful radar (uttam) than NO11M bars

what is the o/p power of mi1a radar,- both ?Source: Bhikkipidia
around 4kwwhat is the o/p power of mi1a radar,- both ?
The number of TRM on the MK2 radar is dependent on the power availability on the platform and the power rating of the TRM.
GaN TRMs has higher power rating. A 20W GaN TRM, if used on MK1 Uttam would technically require only 370 odd TRM, instead of 740+. The radar will become half in size!
So a Uttam MK2 with 900 TRM ( say of 20W TRM) has almost 2.5 times the power output of MK1 Uttam! Theoretically it can handle 18KW, although I would assume in regular ops it will around 9 to 10KW.
LCA MK1 can provide around 3 to 4KW of power. Which is exactly half of 7.8KW theoretical power rating of Uttam = 780 TRM X 10W
Are you able to find elm2052 power ratings in jaguar and mk1a. thanks.around 4kw
if someone has more accurate figure pls give
I had found it on brf
that will be hard to find as elm2052 is a highly scalable radar so the power req of radar in our jags is different and power req in tejas is differentAre you able to find elm2052 power ratings in jaguar and mk1a. thanks.
