The vid was released like a month ago, but ill agree that it could be a bit out of date for today (still thanks to it we know all FOC airframes are being worked on)
I mean the footage they used might be old. The interview or videos could have shot 2-4 months back. Then they need to edit, probably send it for security clearances etc.

Lca also showcased hot refueling which saab touted as a great feature of gripen . Don't know if jf17 has it ?? probably not.
Had the jhantu fighter had that capability- the brown panted ones and their bots would have been shouting it out from every roof of every house of Niharistan. The only real capability jump for the JF is its ability to take upto 20 people on a joy ride on it's tail:

but unfortunately this advantage is also lost the moment it takes to air- won't bother IAF planners much.

I know its not actual, since the host posted about his visit on october 31, but still...its the only "eye" i can get to see hows it goin.

if only 8 FOC (we are talking single seaters) remain, it means LA-5023/24/26/27 should be already done, tight?

i kinda went trough he while HT episode while making this post some time ago, and i think after seeing it again i have some doubts.

From what we see, there are 6 aircraft being assembled there, with 2 already painted and almost ready, one of them is LA-5024 (SP-2028), while the other appears to be...LA-5022? (one of the 3 that went to the dubai air show)

The other painted example is LA-5024 (SP-28)

From the other 4 that are also being assembled, only 2 have LA-50XX serials, and those are..

LA-5027

LA-5026 (or is it 25?)

That means we have
LA-5022 (doing...?)
LA-5024 (being finished)
LA-5026 (under assembly)
LA-5027 (under assembly)
Two more units (SP-32 and the other thats behind LA-5027)
SP-36 (seen in up close)
LSP-6 (in Jig)
Series trainer?

Of course thats not all, but makes me question where are the remaining examples and if they have already been given to the IAF. (where is LA-5023?)

I remember reading about SP-27 first flight (LA-5023) but could it be its already done?
Let me add something to this post...
LA5024 (SP28), LA5026 (SP30), LA5027 (SP31), LA5028 (SP32), LA5029 (SP33) and LA5032 (SP36) are being manufactured in Line-1, that is LCA Division...
You identified 5 of these... So, the 6th jet which you couldn't identify (the other behind LA5027) is SP33 or LA5029...
The entire video seems to have been shot in LCA Division...
-
LA5023 (SP27), LA5025 (SP29), LA5030 (SP34) and LA5031 (SP35) are being manufactured in Line-2, thst is Aircraft Division...
May be that is why these jets are not visible in the video...
SP27 already took first flight...
Since it is parallel production, remaining 3 jets of Line 2 might be at the same stage as the jets of Line 1...
-
So, considering the fact that video is a couple of months old, we can be assured that all Mk1 jets will be ready by March 2022... Even if there is some unexpected delay, it won't be beyond June 2022...

So finally even JF17 is actually matching upto the Tejas.
- Addition of the 3 channel Fly by wire
-AESA radar
-More composites in the airframe
-Dual pylons
-Addition of an extra hardpoint
Will match Tejas mk1A

While some features such as
-Addition of MAWS
- Large screen with sensor fusion
-Missiles like PL15
will surpass it.

Areas where Tejas is still ahead though-
-Engine
-higher usage of composites
-maintainability?

I mean , i cant believe , they are still "Equipping" Tejas with Astra mk1 since like the last 6-8 months...and still not even a single flight trial..
The fly by wire won't improve the agility of the Junk fighter. It will remain as it is earlier

Further to this post... Here is the time-marks where various jets under construction are visible in this video...
SP28 - LA5024:- 15:44, 15:55
SP30 - LA5026:- 15:51
SP31 - LA5027:- 15:40, 22:33, 22:59
SP32 - LA5028:- 15:52, 19:43
SP33 - LA5029:- 17:29, 21:38
SP36 - LA5032:- 14:34
SPT05 :- 11:59

Apart from above, LSP08 is visible @ 12:12 and
SP26 - LA5022 is visible at 15:38...
I remember Indraneel tweeting that SP26 is being used to test some Mk1A systems... That is probably the reason why it is there...
Also, from 12:02 to 12:06, you will notice Mk1A written on various Jigs...
I guess works related to Mk1A are being done in LCA division only...
