2032 my bet ,That was corruption at peak.
My guess is by 2035-40 we will have enough number to send Mirage and Mig home and possibly some 40 around old Su too.

Right my dream is to see Tejas Mark2 in full production......2032 my bet ,
Well , tejas mk 1a will be produced 16 per annum , but total production line capacity hal have is 40 , in near future , so when mk 2 enters production ,most probably 2026 or earlier , it will atleast be produced 8 per annum , even if rest is used for export , in 6years it gives 48 , also mk 1 a delivery completes in 2028 29 , so those 16 aircraft capacity will be shared by tedbf and mk 2 , so that gives 24 more aircraft , total mk 2 in 2032 72 , full four squadrons , that's all worst case scenarioRight my dream is to see Tejas Mark2 in full production......
Isn't GOI considering private assembly line having 20 planes per yr capacity? Part and parcel of buying 72 more rafale but assembled in India, not by HAL.That was corruption at peak.

5. Su MKI for next 30 yrs at least.Future India Forces should should have only 4 Types of Fighters
1. LCA Tejas Mk1A/B/C (Keep coming new upgrades , its cheaper)
2. MWF Tejas Mk2/3/4 + Rafale
3. TEBDF/ORCA (Very small remaining numbers of Su30)
4 . AMCA Mk1/2
I think the pace will pick up after the first dozen to make sure production, qc and base infrastructure and logistics all work out smoothly.Isn't GOI considering private assembly line having 20 planes per yr capacity? Part and parcel of buying 72 more rafale but assembled in India, not by HAL.
HAL max 16 planes per yr capacity will be dedicated to LCA Mk1 and MK2.
30 to 36 planes per yr after 2024 seems like a solid plan. ( including export)
They should be replaced slowly , maintenance will cost a lot5. Su MKI for next 30 yrs at least.
They may go for su-57 as MKI's get long in tooth....to keep rooskies happy and expected delays in domestic procurement and emerging threats.5. Su MKI for next 30 yrs at least.
never going to happen. They may go for su-57 as MKI's get long in tooth....to keep rooskies happy and expected delays in domestic procurement and emerging threats.
Why do you think that? Odds are production of domestic are going to run into delays especially the more we get self sufficient the more west will get pissed off....how do you see the sqds get maintained and balance out the threats from east and north?never going to happen.
Yes his argument that replace everything with Tejas is total BS. .. but I get what he is saying - order book is small and he kind of does not like HAL or PSU in general. IAF is kind of onboard becoz its been forced to get it.His critisism is right and would have been genuine if IAF wanted Tejas a frontline combat aircraft which it is not fully. The Tejas is a point defence and interceptor aircraft so all his critisism is useless. It doesn’t need all that heavy weight aircraft features.
Yes, criticism from foreigners whether its west or Russia or Indians needs to be ignored. It is a good design for its role and for the threat its designed to address, it is flying and its armaments are also ready or actively tested. This is a huge accomplishment for Indian aviation....only very few countries are able to do this in the world and most of them are close allies that get the tech handed to them but we have to go extra length to get this far.Yes his argument that replace everything with Tejas is total BS. .. but I get what he is saying - order book is small and he kind of does not like HAL or PSU in general. The su-57 isnt what it promised to be and it does not fit what we want, its never going to happen. Why do you think that? And the alternative is apart from our own? What is it that it promised and what is it that is not...elaborate pleaseThe su-57 isnt what it promised to be and it does not fit what we want, its never going to happen.
Write it down if you want.
Hold your horses, let the record be established before you diss other ones. Its role is point interception, short range and high speed wtith mostly A2A focus.Tejas is not Defensive Plane , Its best offensive plane of IAF fleet . It has highest precision target scores in recent exercises . One of the lowest RCS . Planes like Su30 are defensive planes They cant go anywhere near enemy without getting caught in Radars , Outdated tech . Tejas is better Than Mirage for Balakote like Operation .
How you use Plane is depend on you But its Most advanced Plane in IAF fleet after Rafale (which are not completely operational yet)Hold your horses, let the record be established before you diss other ones. Its role is point interception, short range and high speed wtith mostly A2A focus.
Lobbying is a different issue but saying this is the best and the other one is trash wont be taken seriously without evidence especially for a new one from a country which is producing its first modern fighter. It needs to establish some combat stats, does not have to be battle stats. How you use Plane is depend on you But its Most advanced Plane in IAF fleet after Rafale (which are not completely operational yet)
So Best in a way .
Import lobbies keep undermining Tejas to make space for imports . Oh ! Its defensive , It lacks Range , Payload etc all Rubbish excuses .
I am an onlooker from afar (not Indian, do not know India). How you use Plane is depend on you But its Most advanced Plane in IAF fleet after Rafale (which are not completely operational yet)
