Sp 23
LCA to jhaanki he LCH, Arjun abhi baaki he.So basically "Interchangeability" was just propaganda. Even If There was an issue then it wasn't that severe as Lobbies were suggesting. HAL is going to deliver 5 more jets by March 2021 so this will make 7 jets in this financial year. Still an achievement during Pandemic as given HAL's past reputation. Surely HAL going to deliver 12 jets in the next financial year.
We used to criticize HAL, DRDO, and PSUs but things didn't change but the moment, we started questioning the attitude of the Armed forces toward Local projects things started to speed up. So now it's clear where was the fault.
One more thing, the Order of Mk1A has silent LCA critics for the rest of life. so Congratulations to all fans and Tejas supporters who have almost lost hope for Tejas.
Isn't Sp-41 to Sp-50 also Trainers ?SP-21 onwards it has been rewritten as SP-17 to simplify nomenclature.
SP-01 to SP-16 IOC standard
SP-17 to SP-32 FOC standard
SP-33 to SP-40 Trainers
So 2028/29 onwards Mk2 ....
Run with face away
I think there's gonna be an overlap... At 14 per year is take 6 years, from 24-29 but they're attempting to maintain a higher rate of production.Isn't Sp-41 to Sp-50 also Trainers ?
As the order of 83 have 10 mk1 Trainers and 73 Mk1a ?
So 2028/29 onwards Mk2 ....
Other than that some of the 20odd jets targetted to be made per year, may not be for IAF... Most likely the estimate was made with some export in mind.I think there's gonna be an overlap... At 14 per year is take 6 years, from 24-29 but they're attempting to maintain a higher rate of production.
And all the TOT they learned in making SU 30 mki goes to drain. And at inflated prices.
SP23 has now been renamed tp SP19
Between 200-1000km (to & fro)Combat radius of Tejas mk1a?
I think it's radar transparent... Not sure what the thing is tho.
Does anyone know what is that red-marked thing? Why does it look so out of place? An aluminium sheet riveted so crudely should not be part of a 4+ gen jet.
It is a metal sheet, no way it is radar transparent. In fact, the convex surface is perfect for reflecting radar.I think it's radar transparent... Not sure what the thing is tho.

It is a part of Environmental control unit basically it's function is to suck the air and send it to heat exchanger.
