Literally has all LCAs of the world. Like a mini MMRCA, may end up the same way too.

Although the requirement specs give IOC Tejas a massive edge.

...the official noted that the selected platform must be able to conduct air-to-air and air-to-ground missions effectively, with a future maritime strike capability; that it must be able to conduct counter-insurgency operations; that it be "economically viable"; and that enough be bought to be able to conduct operations in two theatres simultaneously, and at very short notice.

Oh, yeah. With their relation with India right now as well as the Israeli radar/missiles on Tejas, very probably. Or FA-50 or Yak-130... who cares?

SP21 is being round the corner from November... Still nothing... Some members were saying that a pack of 3-4 jets will be delivered to form the squadron but I don't think sp22 is even out of production line...

With new leadership in Malaysia, we can think of a better relationship between the two countries. so in that scenario sale of Tejas will be possible.

All 4 were seen in jigs together been in Sept 2019.

SP-22 was in advanced stages of assembly during Defexpo 2020, could be ready by now, rest two in their place.

Following which there was a chatter of software upgrade in FOC.

As of latest news, SP-21 is built for atleast 2 weeks but still doing rigorous ground checks. First flight date unknown.

We dont know if FOC had standardisation or internal modifications to enhance maintainability... Or if yes, how much.
