Just to debate -
An observation of mine that few Hindus have clubbed islam and Sikh in the same breath.
They see 2 issues having similar patterns and hence want to deal with the 2 problems in same way with same thinking.
There is a fundamental issue with that thinking.
Islam at it's core, through Quran and Hadiths and through the prophet and others is anti-Hindu.
It's only purpose is to either kill or convert us & it will not stop in between until that has been achieved.
At it's core Islam basically demands Hindus to be exterminated. Our very existence is anti-islam.
Sikhism on other hand is nothing like that.
At it's core, Sikhism overlaps with hinduism very significantly.
If you read their granths, you could mistake them for Hindu texts. That's how intertwined we are.
In fact, if the term 'Hindu' was not coined, Sikhism might be sitting under the umbrella of different of ways worship under sanatan.
Sikhism at it's core is a brother to Hinduism.
So, while the symptoms look same. The solution to these 2 problems are vastly different.
One needs to be exterminated.
Another needs the extremists exterminated so that the religion goes back to it's roots.
