Buying old airplanes from Indian Airlines like with netra mk2 will be cheaper IMO

AI had few old 747 iirc not sure if they are flying but pulling one out and sending it to boing for mod should be possible

Very old News there was even tender for its fan stage but that project never took off an engine with such huge mass flow will fall in the category of AL 31.

Are you refering to this spreadsheet from BRF made by Maitya?

The problem with the above spreadsheet is that there is no other sources which have confirmed this developement from GTRE.

Not TGO less TBC but bondcoatl ess TBC. TGO will always develop challenge is to supress it at operating temp.

AMCA engine demands a new core that was always clear.

This might be okay for static parts, but won't work for the turbine blades. The substrate they have chosen is not turbine blade material.

The alloy they mentioned in the abstract qualifies as a high temperature gas turbine blade alloy. There was a patent about the same...Let me find out

Actually I heard the word "Ganga" from one of the scientists of IITK Propulsion lab who runs simulations on compressors.

For turbine blade we already have double layer TBC Coating.
