This is the old video from 2008
It is a bad ass looking launch, what does the TEL for this missile look like?
Yeah, it is good as a tactical nuke but how accurate is it for conventional use? Real source please...its good to have these kind of missiles to our IN and IA. grt task was achieved by the DRDO scientists.hope that their future projects will be successfull. Our good enemies will watch this mission n felt sleepness.
Long Live
Indian armed forces n DRDO.
The CEP is 20-30 in previous tests.Yeah, it is good as a tactical nuke but how accurate is it for conventional use? Real source please...
This is what the Hindu says, if this missile is capable of such hypersonic speeds then why do we need a Brahmos Block 2. Is it because this missile cannot fly as low as what Brahmos Block 2 would and this missile is not as accurate as Block 2 Brahmos. The missile flew at 7.5 Mach, that is, 7.5 times the speed of sound and covered its full range of 700 km in 500 seconds.
So this is like an even longer range Iskander which has 30m CEP... how did India acquire technology that is superior to Russian targeting? Is there any video of the missile landing in a target area? The CEP is 20-30 in previous tests.
India Unveils Shaurya – Submarine Launched Missile
Overall, the missile has an accuracy of 20-30 meters Circular Error Probable (CEP), contributing to effective conventional attack capability, in addition to the nuclear strike option.
Prithvi missles have CEP in the single digitsSo this is like an even longer range Iskander which has 30m CEP... how did India acquire technology that is superior to Russian targeting? Is there any video of the missile landing in a target area?
.......Or that is what they sayNope. Range will not increase. Brahmos is under MTCR.
700 kms in 8.3 minutes! Thats the time the Paki radar operator takes to understand the stuff on his screen is a missile, The pakis wont even see it comeing man...!:: Bharat-Rakshak.com - Indian Military News Headlines ::
India's hypersonic missile, Shourya, was successfully test-fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur on the Orissa coast on Saturday.
The missile rose on the dot at 2.30 p.m. from a canister strapped on to the ground, climbed to an altitude of 40 km and sped at 7.5 Mach, that is, 7.5 times the speed of sound. It covered its full range of 700 km in 500 seconds. The surface-to-surface missile performed a manoeuvre in the closing stages of its flight and hit the impact point in the Bay of Bengal with an accuracy of a few metres.
OK, so India has better than US targeting accuracy...Prithvi missles have CEP in the single digits
India Test-Fires Prithvi-Ii And Dhanush Missiles
According to officials, the Prithvi-II missile achieved single digit accuracy reaching close to zero circular error probability (CEP). Prithvi-II missile is capable of carrying conventional and nuclear warheads, with a payload of 500 to 1000 kilograms and has twin propulsion engines.
