to this day people on this forum are still claiming Super Duper 2000s MKi radar can track J20 over hundreds of kilometers

Or that the 4th gen Rafale is somehow so fantastical it can detect rcs reduction optimized fighters earlier DESPITE having to carrying a myriad of missiles and pods externally to be a real threat.

Its been too many years to still be this uninformed @HariPrasad-1 Even making arguments like this is denying basic physics.

Just demonstrating the effect of trolls on any serious defense forum. If you had joined 10 years ago or earlier you would remember a time when this forum had many many many international posters on every sub-forum.

Why would anyone waste time sharing defense news and OSINT if you'll have to spend 6 hours explaining why the earth is round or the sky is blue while being accused of getting 50cents a post?

Many of the best analysts and enthusiast on this site cleared out long ago to more regulated forums because of it; I haven't seen a @shiphone post in a long ass time, when he had the best open source info on Chinese defense developments (ON AN INDIAN FORUM!!!! Sometimes even BETTER that SDF)

You call these third rate planes fifth generation and when some body opposes it, you call them troll. Now tell me why China purchases Su 35 when they have So called fifth generation plane call J20. You buy s400 when you have HQ 9 and other HQ. Your J 20's engine, BVR, WVR, EW, engine etc is far inferior to Rafale. You call your planes fifth generation though it does not have any stuff of Fifth generation plane. You operate Mig 21 but stay away from JF 17 and call that junk a competitor of F 16 or F 21. Boasting of you guys have no upper limit. You just give some plane angles and call it fifth generation. This is exactly like you copied a BMW and boasted that you made a BMW in half of the price. However, when it was sent for crash test, it scored 0/5. This is your level of sophistication of medium level technology forget about fighter plane technology. You call Universities top class but nobody finds a single guy of these universities heading and non Chinese Multinational. You can just boast and no nothing else.

What Basic Physics I have denied? Can you please explain? Or saying Chinese so called fifth generation plane "what it is" is denying physics? In Anatolian Eagle 2022 exercise, Rafale jammed the radar of F 16 and your Junk fighter 17. Rafale jammed the radar of Su 35. All this is in public domain. Su 35 is that plane which you have purchased as your J 20 is not fight worthy? This is in public domain.

IN YOUR OWN EXCERCISE, J 20 SCORED 3.5:1 KILL RATIO AGAINST YOUR OWN CHINESE THIRD GENERATION PLANE. F 22 HAS THIS RATION >100:1. THIS IS YOUR FIFTH GENERATION PLANE ASSESSED BY YOUR OWN PLA.

So shut your big mouth your copy of fifth generation plane is as effective as your copy of BMW which scorred 0/5 in crash test rating. fool the country like Pakistan is 57and boast your ego. We know very well the quality of your plane. Even Su 57 far far superior to your Junk 20 which can not super cruise, can not not super maneuver, can not accelerate fast like F 22 and Su57, has inferior weapons and inferior Radar and junk EW, which has canards etc. Keep calling this Junk a fifth generation plane which infact is far inferior to any good forth generation plane.

I will make two points of View on this.

1. At first glance, it looks like a SU-37/SU-30/SU-27 (with canards) that has been made into a "Stealthy" version by extensive Airframe modification (Stealthier Canards, horizontal stabilizers, vertical Stabilizers (which are canted) etc)

2. On the other hand it looks like something straight out of "ACE COMBAT SERIES". Search up ADF-01 FALKEN/ADFX-02 Morgan etc, you will get what I am saying.

I assume it would be the WS-19 but the WS-13E interim engine has been renamed to WS-21 recently. Perhaps that designation if for a TVC variant? Very interesting!

Why there's barely any information about j35 on wiki, after searching for j35 it shows fc31 page and it does not have much information.
Is this jet cleared for serial production?
If they have already made a 5th jet j20 then why this jet is taking so much time.

J-35 is the carrier variant. It was officially chosen by the PLAN a few years ago and the first prototype only flew in 2021. So not long at all.

The FC-31 is the original export project so there is more info on it. This aircraft is the one that first flew in 2012.

FC-31 had no official funding until recently. PLAAF is still not funding and will wait and see if Navy or an export customer (Saudi Arabia or Pakistan) ends up with something they like. They have the J-20 in mass production already. They might be looking for a cheaper, lighter stealth fighter to replace J-10.

If PLAAF chose the plane then it will get official J-31 name.
