I wish ISRO had more budget and I wish ISRO will be provided with more budget and full political backing:india::india::india::india::india::india:
It has political backings as Modi has approved GAGANYAN project. Additional funding will also come with project.

CE-20 is designated for MK3 but it was under development trials until recently. It was first flown in 2017 aboard Mk3. CE-7.5 was use as a stopgap solution in meantime. CE20 stage is now almost ready and will be used in various missions including Chandrayaan 2.

There has been only 2 flights of GSLV MK-iii with upper stage, D1 and D2 (LVM3 was without any upper stage). Both D1 and D2 used upper stage named C-25 which uses CE-20 engine. Can you please point to the GSLV MK-iii flight which used CE-7.5? I don't know of any GSLV MK-iii with CE-7.5.

GSLV-3 uses CE-20 which will be replaced by SCE-200. CE-7.5 has nothing to do here.

^^ There is no CE7.5 for LMV3. Its CE-20 which is the engine and the complete module is named C25/28/30 depening upon its capacity enhancement and the fuel it carries.

GSLV Mk2 F08 had 12 tonnes of fuel thus named C12, F11 had 15tonnes of fuels thus C15 - Engine remains the same CE7.5. Similar trends for CE20. C - > Cryogenic Fuel , E -> Engine.

@Cutting Edge 2 - CE7.5 is not a stop gap measure, its a completly different engine. CE7.5 is stage combustible engine while CE20 is Gas generator style. CE7.5 is derived from Russian model while CE20 is indigenous. Both are different in terms of weight, capability and payload delivery. Both are used in different Launch Vehicle and are not interchangable.

@Indx TechStyle x - SCE200 will not replace CE20 but the hypergolic stage Vikas engine. CE20 is the third and final stage which SCE200 will be the second stage core engine.
