IAF strikes in Gaza in retaliation for Negev mortar shells ​

The Israel Air Force launched an attack at a Gaza Strip target affiliated with terror activity, Tuesday.


The IAF has launched five airstrikes in different areas in the Gaza Strip, Palestinians reported.

The IDF noted that the attacks were launched following mortar fire directed at IDF troops near the border fence earlier Tuesday. No injuries or damage were reported as a result of the shells.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, IAF aircraft attacked a weapon manufacturing facility and two tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip. Hits were detected.

Tuesday's airstrike is the second strike in less than a week, in retaliation for mortar shells hitting inside Israeli territory.

On Thursday, the Air Force attacked two mortar launchers in northern Gaza in response to mortar fire into Israeli territory, according to the IDF Spokesperson.

"The IDF will not accept any attempt to harm citizens of the State of Israel and will continue to work against every source that engages in terror against the State of Israel," the statement said. "The Hamas terror organization is the address and it carries responsibility."

Weekend of Attacks: Gaza Terrorists Fire Rocket at Israel, Attempt to Breach Border Twice​

This past weekend several incidents along the security fence with the Gaza Strip disturbed the relative stability on the border. These incidents show us that even if the area seems quiet, as long as Hamas continues to govern Gaza, it is just a matter of time until they attempt once again to increase friction in the region.

The IDF operates and will continue to operate along the border fence to prevent any infiltration into Israel's sovereign territory. If not for our presence and determination to contain these incidents, the Israeli civilian population would be exposed to innumerable terrorist attacks from Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-detainees on Monday said that two Palestinian children tried to commit suicide in an Israeli prison.

Hiba Masalha, the ministry's lawyer, said that the two prisoners tried to commit suicide in the Hasharon (Telmond) and the Ofek Juvenile prisons, both in central Israel.

How did they get access to Israeli Jails ..

Yes i have read that Israeli jails are having very strict regulations , so are even juveniles are put in the same jails like adults by Israeli military courts ?
