Objective

4. Finishing hamas off will see raising of phalistein government ( who represent phelistein in UN). Isreal can't just like that fight with govt of other nation. Hamas is terror org. So they can.

I have worked as a Tank repairing Mechanical engineer few years ago but the thing is it will not give anyone military edge in this age. They can be still used for defensive purposes but not like WW2 where actully the reason why Germany ran thru so many countries was because of it's superior tanks. Panther, Tiger, King Tiger these were invincible tanks in their time against tanks like featherweight ---- >Sherman firefly.

I saw Israel rolling in alot of Merkava tanks towards Gaza frontline but they were not part of the offensive charge if Israel were to decide to go in because tanks are obsolote against Hamas they have Kornets anti-tank weapons and that Merkava was hit far from the frontline perhaps it was hit from 2-3 kilometers out.

The reason why they focussed on the tunnels so much was because they provided alot of elements of surprise against Tanks and mostly against troops if you have the place litered with interconnected tunnels then an ambush can come from everywhere and this puts your troops in jeopardy. Hamas has approx around 100k forces inside Gaza with tunnels and had Israel decided to go in it could have been massive clash and we could have been here for 7-8 weeks then ceasefire because Israel doesn't have the manpower to resupply it's casualities because there will be huge casualities on both sides example a country like India wouldn't have had issues sacrificing 100-250k to reclaim an area and even that is costly but still they can afford that but not Israel

They are turning entire army woke. Technology can help but its not a substitute for manpower. However that is a different debate altogether.
