The Pakis dont have ANY ship capable of coming even with 300 nautical miles of this armada. The only vessel that has the remotest possibility of coming anywhere close is thier Agosta subs...nothing else.Like I mentioned earlier other than the USN nothing in the Indian Ocean Region can challenge the westerna naval fleet. Currently... you have the delhi class and godavari class destroyers and the talwar class frigates with the Kilos ..equipped with Brahmos and Dhanush ...enough sheer firepower to give even the USN a pause..

looks like they(Ind NAVY) are trying to pass a message with this grand welcome home party. Now that liaoning is past sea trails and China is putting together a CBG for the first time.
lol! the entire western command barring a few ships is out there stretched through the Arabian sea and is joining this ever growing naval armada one by one. Wont be surprised if the coast guards bigger vessels join in as everything bigger than a shore patrol vessel belonging to navy is already out there.
By the time this party reaches Karwar we should be having one of the biggest gathering of Indian naval vessels outside of a presidential fleet review or naval exerises of fleet management.Looks to me like some gun boat diplomacy along with band baja barat party by the navy.

Arrogance Thy name is pakistan. CM-400AKG has the grand total of one export country. Pakistan. it is noting but a chinified vertion of the SS-N-22 sunbur missiles which they had bought from Russia with the chinese cobbling together other versions of the same. It has an effective radius of somewhere around 200 kms. Any unidentified aircraft will be picked up as hostile and intercepted by the carrier air wing by the time it comes close to anywhere near firing that missile. and also the Viraat has something called as the Barak-1 point defence missile with proximity fuse and defense kill radius as less as 500 mts. Go educate yourself before assuming that war time scenarios are like a video game with the mighty thunder firing away to glory while the Indian ships sit mesmerized by the awesome skill of the Pakistani pilot.
If that missile was such a wonder every bloody country would be standing in queue to buy it by now. But what am I saying ...you guys believe that JF-17 is better than the f-16..lol ! enjoy you grandeur of delusions.
And by the by ...hope your agosta gets past the kilo and akula cordon that will be maintained by any self respecting career battle group before firing your awesome torpedoes at the viraat.

Metal does not float.* The correct word is flotsam, and it came into usage when ships were made of wood for most part.

I Think People haven't forgotten, What INS Vikrant(Hercules Class) has done in 1971 War, despite the threat of PNS Ghazi, Which was indeed sunk by INS Rajput as a rusty metal. Infact INS Viraat and its armada was one of the reasons, why pakistan accepted cease fire in Kargil war. In 1971 8 Osa missile boats annihilated karachi, Imagine What Viraat's strike Group would have done in 1999.

Plus Naval Blockade, which Viraat's strike group is easily capable of enforcing.

As if a carrier moves alone and there r no anti missile weapons on its escorts.
Agosta class subs can be detected by various means and best is P-8I as your subs are not best in class.
At this moment pak doesn't have CM400AKG and no platform to integrate with it.

Tactical NEMP? do u know if a single missile is launched to a battle group, what would be the response?
and most of Pak missiles to carry nuclear warhead are Land to Land and not land to Ship, which is bit different game.
