No, all images aren't CGIs. Lot of images are real including those from ISRO.
There will be one small rover inside the lander so even if the lander is damaged in hard landing, but communication can be established, the rover can complete the mission, right?

My boy does quite a lot of simulations on his computer using Kerbal space program. He thinks due to impact the antennas got damaged. He thinks enthusiasts are not calculating lag in communication relay and because of not accounting it they think the communication stopped during the breaking period but it actually happened after the crash landing.

If communication is established then rover can be ejected out but the problem again can be its software which stops its climb up to certain angle to avoid flipping and protocol that initiates its ejection only at an optimum placement. All the hopes are obviously on re-establishing communication but also on rover ejection to happen smoothly afterwards.

The dust must have been settled by now which causes attenuation of the signals. If any miracle has to happen it will happen in next 2-3 days.

Depends on how comprehensive the damage is.
I think the rover itself was supposed to relay information through the lander.

Regardless, the bulk of the experiments will be done by the orbiter and if the lander has indeed crashed terribly and if by some miracle is able to send some information back, ISRO can figure out what went wrong and learn from it, that seems to me more important than any experiments that can be done by both Vikram & Pragyan now, i.e. learning from the mistakes made on a technology demonstrator now rather than on more crucial missions later on.

A senior official associated with the mission said "Progressively... as time goes by... it's difficult(to establish link)" However, with "right orientation" it can still generate power and recharge batteries with solar panels, he added. "But it looks less and less probable, progressively," the official said on condition of anonymity.

So the lander hasn't crash landed but had a hard landing????????????

What prevents ISRO from tweeting Vikram's pic as taken by orbiter? That would reassure a lot of die hard followers.

'We are analysing the data' seems to be Dr.Sivan's mantra of the moment.

Hizbul Commander Burhan Wani was the teacher's son, and the double journalists never said that, @isro
Chief Dr. K Sivan is the son of an illiterate poor farmer. Those who did not have shoes or sandal to wear on their feet.

Isro chief Sivan confirmed that they have spotted the lander by analysing thermal images sent by orbiter, trying to establish contact.

Guys there is hope!

The landing algorithm worked, a little glitch though. Let’s wait for more data from Data.

Poor Pakistanis who tried to down play ISRO :brahmos:

Lander is trolling the inbred pakis..
just wait for it :)

Agencies world wide doesnt ever reveal their imaging capabilities..
cuz..most of such tech goes into defence as well...and its very very classified.
soo... we will get the image..but in a while..

Anyway...we got the good news...
and they are trying to ESTABLISH COMMUNICATION means...the lander is INTACT.
thats super awesome.
