Chandrayaan-3: a new image (25 July 2023)
We imaged the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft again, after its orbit was successfully raised for the 5th time. Here it is our image.

Chandrayaan-3: 25 July 2023.
The image above comes from a single 120-second exposure, remotely taken with the Celestron C14+Paramount ME+SBIG ST8-XME robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project in Manciano, Italy. The telescope tracked the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, so stars are leaving very long trails. The target was very low (less than 10 degrees) above the horizon, while weather was windy.
Chandrayaan-3 was at about 110.000 km from the telescopes while we were imaging it.

Cdy-3, now out of geocentric regime, TLI insertion begins.
Chandrayaan-3 Mission:
Chandrayaan-3 completes its orbits around the Earth and heads towards the Moon.

A successful perigee-firing performed at ISTRAC, ISRO has injected the spacecraft into the translunar orbit.

Next stop: the Moon 🌖

As it arrives at the moon, the Lunar-Orbit Insertion (LOI) is planned for Aug 5, 2023.

if the motive is to keep ISRO, and anyone else involved or emotionally invested, on their toes, it's understandable. Otherwise, can't see the need for this. 2 lunar and one planetary( Mars) captures have been done with great precision.

Those hit jobs have been there for 2 days LOL, hoping for Chandrayaan-3 to be stranded in space like Japanese missions.

After propulsion module detach from lander. What will happened to propulsion module? Is there any experiment will done on it.
Yes, there's a payload called SHAPE onboard it
Yes, there is, it's acronym is SHAPE, it will last 3-6 months. Spectro polarimetry of habitable planet earth. Something related to detecting exotic planets.
It will detect earth's spectral pattern whose data will later be used on ExoWorlds (India's hubble telescope) to detect earth like planets around other stars.
