Sickular Scumbags are slinging mud on even Dr. Saraswat on Twitter.
All their talk about scientists being great and solely being responsible for ASAT went down the drain the moment when Dr. V. K. Saraswat said something anti their pov.

The kind of meltdown i see in social media from the opposition supporters and their chamchas in media by using NEHRU word in every tweet and post simply baffles me . The kind of hatred Modi gets i am sure no other politician would have got it in this country .

@Willy3 The satellite was destroyed in LEO so the debris will fall off in a week time as per the press brief released

Next Goal: GEO sats ?
Yes
How ? What is needed ?
Bigger PSLV and GSLV based vehicles. The another way is to implant a killer satellite in orbit to collide with the target (easier & cheaper approach against GEO satellites as interception becomes difficult with altitude).
Steps already initiated ?
Yes, in both ways.
You have already seen direct kill vehicles.

PSLV's DL and QL variants (which will be replicated on GSLVs too) are projects with an alternative application to implant a killer satellite in the orbit of target satellite.

On 1st April, EMISAT India's spy satellite will be launched with 29 payloads including one from India's own private space company Exseed .

This ASAT missile test right before that signals deterrence to adversaries who may have wanted to play spoilsport for EMISAT. :)

When China tested ASAT - satellite was orbiting 861 km above earth.
Is this difference significant from technology capability ,where we shot down satellite above 300 km, perspective ?
The actual range of the ASAT missile is not made public (even though some are pegging the range to 900kms altitude).
The 'test' happened at 300kms for LEO sat to ensure that debris gets burned up fast - and not create an international furore.
