China's First Reaction To India's Space Missile Test "Mission Shakti"

The Chinese Foreign Ministry, in a written response to a question on India successfully test-firing an anti-satellite missile, said: "We have noticed reports and hope that each country will uphold peace and tranquillity in outer space".

Twitter says that it is more of a BMD test than of anti sat test. Anybody care to clear ?
Question is raised because of target being at 300 kilometers.

We'll technically this was a BMD test where the warhead has seperated from its extremely long range rocket motor and now it's re-orienting and de-orbiting dropping straight to the target. Also the kinetic kill vehicle is part of our BMD ...

So yeah it is just a reconfigured BMD test. This should give a nice representation of maturity of our BMD solution.

Someone on Twitter should answer these butt hurt Western analysts and missile defense experts. They are both butthurt at us for having demonstrated the hit to kill capability. They are talking a lot about debris created and that no nation will take it kindly.

Frankly speaking ,we don't give a rats posterior what other nations think. We needed to demonstrate our capability and do some messaging and we have done it.

Somebody pls tell them that a brand new three stage missile was used. We didn't use a modified PDV or that this wasn't a juggad solution. Most of the interceptor is brand new leaving the Agni 2 booster.

No doubt political will is required but technical competencies the key area. it's so critical to get this technology that it cannot be mastered easily . One require very high technical competence to carry out such test. Where there are number of countries ranging from Pakistan, North Korea, Iran has th is capability to make missile but they cannot even think of making search hi tech interceptor.

It requires Political will power more than the technical capability to demonstrate such a capability.

The kind of meltdown i see in social media from the opposition supporters and their chamchas in media by using NEHRU word in every tweet and post simply baffles me . The kind of hatred Modi gets i am sure no other politician would have got it in this country .

@Willy3 The satellite was destroyed in LEO so the debris will fall off in a week time as per the press brief released
