This just proves modern AR15/AR10 are still superior and cheaper.
But all our special ops guys are drilling on it just like they did with the tavor .Even NSG has acquired some scars.but scar h is one hell of a platform

NSG probably bought a few for evaluation and never ordered again. Now that they are getting familiar with Sig, i dont think they will look at SCARs anymore. Sig offers far better and cheaper rifles.

The guy is dressed for a HALO jump. It's the correct place to stow the rifle. Some put the Barrell up others stow it facing down. Doesn't really make a difference.
No, there is a reason the that style of slinging for a MFF jump has been disused by units for years if not decades now, it interferes too much with the pack, especially when the chute inflates and the Gs hit. Guys were having issues with helmet strikes, strapslamming the weapon up into the armpit etc..
Most sling it much lower on the side or on the front now.

He probably just has it slung for convinience in the pic and it's not how he'd jump.

exactly they showed the chris vectors too, that does not mean they adopted them. They went with the mpx instead.
Is MPX worth it? I would have preferered the SiG MCX 9” Virtus rattler in .300 BLK over a 9mm SiG MPX.

.300 Blackout and 9” barreled MCX would have been an excellent option instead of MPX which is no different from H&K MP5.

What combat load are you referring to in the above post of yours
Rifle, ballistic helmet, plate carrier, provisions?

As it is if those Garuds jumped as they are once they landed and got rid of the para gear they'd be standing in just their fatigues, they are meant to be combatants not professional sky divers.

NSG buy small quantities of lots of weapons to give their troops familiarisation with as many as possible, but they aren't issued. The standard issue is still SIG-5XX and MP5/X

The MPXs seem to ave been bought as a hedge again HK embargoing India

NSG is still wedded to their SMG preference, they'll need to go through a doctrine change for SBRs to be inducted/standard issue

The 9” Rattler can’t be called a SBR completely, it’s like an SMG in an Assault Rifle.

the mpx has better ergonomics. Its more modular too, easier to mount force multipliers.
:notsure:

Isn’t SiG MPX and SiG MCX Rattler the same small arms design chambered in two different rounds and barrel lengths.

SiG MPX (4.5”, 9mm Parabellum).

SiG MCX Rattler (9”, .300 BLK).

The fact that they carried Sig MPX and HK MP5 in equal numbers in the Republic Day parade, IMO shows NSG has chosen SIG MPX as it’s 9mm sub machine gun to replace/augment the MP5.
Ig they’ll wait to see what IA chooses for its carbine requirements, NSG may take a decision what to replace their SIG 500 family of weapons with. I have a feeling they will choose SIG SAUER weapons like the MCX and 716 for their respective requirements. Previously it is seen with Indian sec agencies like NSG and SPG buy an entire family of weapons within a single company ex. NSG initially purchased a large number of HK products(MP5, PSG-1 sniper) and SPG until this day has FN HERSTAL fever.
