I do have a genuine inquisition . Since SSS D has been working on upgrade kits for SVDs and AKs so why not AR platforms . They could start out with localising small parts and handguards . Direct promotion and release of M72 felt like a bit rash decision since they were trying to push their way into the CQB Carbine competition. As expected 3 years after the release of the new tender , it is still yet to be determined. A file left untouched in the offices of Higher Cremé Officials

As for your question as to why not upgrade AR platform and only AK and SVD because their was only demand for these 2 Army haven't and seems like will never ask to upgrade their block 1s so why waste time and energy for something that will chill in ur storage forever

What about individual purchases . 85% of all SF development is done with the aid of individual purchases . From Uniforms , DBALS, Helmets , radio Accesories. The command barely takes any action . If it intrigues the interests of our individual operators , then it is bound to be noticed

You can't upgrade units gun as an Individual purchase you get the firearm from units and you return the firearm when you leave that's it yes you can customise it according you,paint it in some units and other stuffs but you can go ahead and upgrade a whole weapon system as personal purchase. But if we still say hypothetically you can sss still won't be spending shit ton of money,time and effort for a few personal purchase of a upgrade kit that would barely cover the development cost it's just not viable and would cost alot too how many individual guys you think will be able to afford them.
