And sir as a para sf officer what do you think about ssg special service groupHoga toh pehnenge.
Likhna special surender group chahiye thaAn
And sir as a para sf officer what do you think about ssg special service group
Only handful of motivated soldiers from all para sf battalion not every special forces soldier because desert warfare troops will be equipped with gadgets and weapon which are suitable in that environment and it is not easy to equip every para sf officer with weapons suitable for desert or mountain environment and yes you are right but they mainly focus on their primary task like mountain warfare or desert warfare or jungle warfareYou could've made this argument 20 years ago. Now Para SF Bns are cross trained for all theaters. @AVINASH4061

They are thorough professionals and I believe they are better equipped than the Indian Counterparts. An

1. The Top Brass are not clear about the tasking, org, eqpts of a SF Bn and so the kind of random tasking. So where do you think we went wrong?
The 80s was full of Special Forces action and many SF battalions and Marcos evolved in the 80s.
So it was not like the top brass or the upcoming top brass was not aware what special ops are.
Even now if we leave modernisation aside the deployment of SF like Infantry troops be it in Kargil or some ops in Kashmir has been shocking.
Which shows a mindset that SF is not only given budget but also not right ops.
And going ahead we are increasing the gap every single day as the warfare is mordernising..How do we go about equiping ourself for being at par with the best in 2030?(your thoughts)
Lastly,is the unit budget enough to buy some critical equipment at battalion level?
Oh oh....straps on helmet...here we go!They are thorough professionals and I believe they are better equipped than the Indian Counterparts.
To add a fact of life, only fools underestimate their enemy and undermine their capabilities.Oh oh....straps on helmet...here we go!
Is this SSG you are talking about. To add a fact of life, only fools underestimate their enemy and undermine their capabilities.
I'm just going to go hedgehog in the bunker and see how this develops...To add a fact of life, only fools underestimate their enemy and undermine their capabilities.
SF modernisation will take decades, we wereunable to modernise infantry, let alone Special Forces.Ya'll Nibbiars even if the regular Paki Mullahs Infantry lack's the discipline and Training. The SSG are extremely trained, Disciplined and Motivated and equipped on the same scale as ours. Then don't think they lack or anything. We need to up the game. And we need to seriously upgrade our SF capabilities and make more potent and elite unit's.
Ya'll Nibbiars it takes a huge amount to train a SF operators is not that much easy. Training cost a fortune.SF modernisation will take decades, we wereunable to modernise infantry, let alone Special Forces.
Equipments?Ya'll Nibbiars it takes a huge amount to train a SF operators is not that much easy. Tra8ning cost a fortune.
Ya'll Nibbiars just training cost a fortune. And everyone here takes the training lightly. And think it's cost nothing. But actually it's one of the most costliest and important part of the SF operator.Equipments?
Training is dependent on the type of equipment you use, outdated equipment affects training in modern day scenarios, the NVGs our SF get is the same which our infantry uses at LoC.Ya'll Nibbiars just training cost a fortune. Ya'll Nibbiar I am referring to the cost of training.Training is dependent on the type of equipment you use, outdated equipment affects training in modern day scenarios, the NVGs our SF get is the same which our infantry uses at LoC.
Training and equipment is not seperate, they go hand in hand, you need to adapt to modern paradigms of warfighting, adapt to a plethora of equipmentsYa'll Nibbiars just training cost a fortune. And everyone here takes the training lightly. And think it's cost nothing. But actually it's one of the most costliest and important part of the SF operator.
