Couple a hundred dollahs
Lots of uniform discipline
Thats what the uniform is.

About the comtac and helmets ..more important than the SCARS we buying

...something is really wrong with us...even the procurement is infantryish in nature and not SFish.
Is AFSOD making the rounds for
Photo shoots yet?

You should look at/contact Vinayak Sen of Armasen tactical, he has similar thoughts to
You and perhaps a little more experience in the market so I’m sure there’s an opportunity for mutual benefits to be shared

NSG has developed tactics and specialisations like no other special unit in India

Their K9s, EOD and breachers are the best india has to offer from the top of my head.

their operators also have demonstrated the best weapons handling I’ve seen of any Indian unit

their emphasis on realistic training is above and beyond anything seen in Indian military SFI

For what they do india doesn’t have anyone better than NSG and they are constantly improving
Regarding Armasen’s guy vinayak, they would do a whole lot better to focus on providing scalable modular gear than talk like a Bollywood hero. Marketing gimmicks alone aren’t enough.

#nohate. ... just come up with a scalable mode yet and start supplying

@Unknowncommando 2 do you have any idea that when IA purchased SiG-716 7.62x51mm NATO rifle then why didn’t it purchase SiG-516 the 5.56x45mm NATO version of the same gun.

and if Selected Car-816 for 5.56x45mm NATO carbine then why not Car-817 for 7.62x51mm NATO rifle?

would have saved logistics Costs as they are the same weapons from single company chambered in different rounds and technically anyone of the pair would have performed the same in Indian Army’s tests:notsure:.

Does India has any unit similar to the US Army rangers??
I observed pakis cheering that they have Light Commando Battalion (LCB) started in the lines of US Rangers!!
I thought we had Ghatak platoons for that job, but turns out even pakis have something similar to Ghataks, a commando unit present in every Infantry battalion called Commando Platoon (CP).
They also raised a similar unit to Rastriya Rifles, called zarrar.
So, does Indian Army lack any unit similar to US Army Rangers??

It was tested at 10 meters against M 47 mild steel core ammo, wasn't it??
Terrorists use Hard Steel Core ammo. Less accurate, but more powerful. Also, I wouldn't believe that they were tested like you said, because if it were true, Army wouldn't bother replacing them, notwithstanding the weight.

Ghataks have nothing to do with Rangers. They are infantry shock troops. Screw Pakis. The closest thing we have to Rangers, if you look carefully are PARA SF themselves... They are the equivalent of Rangers, more so than Green Berets.. This is because of abuse by infantry generals.
