This is an important article, though thanks to the narration i cannot make head or tail. I am also missing the role of PTS Agra in the whole training regimen.

An important point i picked up was the shifting of SFTS from Nahan to Bakloh. The only time that place came up for an exercise with Mangolian army.

I am hoping that the SFR will be re-raised and perhaps one of these will become their regimental centre, though there was also talk of land being acquired in Chattisgarh.
I thought this has already been given the green light?

Centralised selection and basic training at the SFTS followed by advanced training at the respective SF btns is 100% the way to go. It will ensure more inter-operability as well as it making it easier for operators to switch from btn to btn easier. It will also make it much easier for lessons learned in battle to be disseminated down and applied across the entire Army SF community.

This should be done ASAP
3rd operator - is he wearing civil cargos? I have noticed these elsewhere as well.

I’ve seen just about every single SF unit in India with these kind of pants at one point or another. Don’t know why SG would be on the ground for these kind of ops. It wasn’t even a HVT that day.

I also think most people don’t seem to appreciate the actual role of SG. They aren’t generally assaulters and direct action orientated.

IMA passing out piping ceremony in Dehradun today:-

Indian Military Academy (IMA) is holding a piping ceremony and passing out parade for their 2020 batch today, at Dehradun. It is the first time the pipping ceremony- in which the parents and family members of the gentlemen cadets formally pin rank badges on their uniforms marking their transition from cadet to officer- is being held without the GCs' families.

An assassination attempt over our former pm Rajiv Gandhi by SriLankan naval personal. See how SPG operator put him down in no time.

Blessed by YT recommendations.
I'm surprised how many attempts Rajiv Gandhi survived before biting the dust.
How many, really?
That should be an indicator of SPG's training as well (in historical context, of course).

zero

but i want they get.

btw 2nd and 3rd para are active in CI/CT ops.. operation underway in anantnag.

So where is 9?:shoot:
And this post might come off as a rant...

I just don't get this.

Why can't our army higher echelons consider equipping SF as a matter of national security and forego their ego for at least once? Why shud they always turn it into an inter-unit/regiment/arms race? Our SF doesn't even have a regiment of their own and para officers trying to steal SF benefits r all well documented in this thread.

If we equip our SF's then it will benefit the army itself....why this kind of fratricide is done is beyond me! May b its naive of us to expect the higher-ups to have an iota of nobility and do the right thing.

May b the higher-ups all r megalomaniacs!
