First Beretta mx4 storm now this,who the fuck in BSF keep on buying these 9mm carbines! only 9mm weapon they should have would be a pistol.Rest they should invest in decent assault rifles,ghatak rifles,DMR,PKP pechneg and 50 cal sniper rifle(bullpup preferred).

I wonder if we could have a little fun? The Indian police have traditionally had a great collection of vintage weapons. We've all seen the 0.303 Enfields but does anyone have any photos of other vintage weapons? Odd rifles, submachine guns, revolvers and pistols in service? Over the years I have seen photos of M1 Garands, Thompson M1 and M3 submachine guns, No.5 Jungle Carbines and a variety of revolvers and pistols. Of course this was before the internet and scanners. Anyone has any photos of these old weapons to share? Thanks

Here are some photos - rare now - one of a Delhi cop with a Sten Mk.II I think (but with 3 full mags), Gujarat weapons puja with a collection of firearms including a Walther P38/P1 and assorted others (can anyone identify?) and from J&K a cop with a Thompson M1 submachine gun missing its stock.

Yup! I may still have an old magazine "Sunday" when they formed the STF to hunt Verappan and one guy had a Thompson M1 and another had a M3 Grease Gun. Then there was an India today article on policing - back in the 1980s - and a Punjab Police Havildar had a M1 Garand. So anybody have any more photos of these classics in Indian service around ? Anything?
