I wonder if anyone actively follows all state armed police tenders here. If possible, can any expert comment here whether the police forces are driving the sales of Indian-made rifles/handguns? It can be either from private or PSUs.

OFB is banking on them now since Armed Forces are distancing themselves

It’s leased by Pawan Hans from ONGC, and Pawan Hans has a base in Gadchiroli for medevac purposes and govt use. It’s regularly used by Maharashtra Police and state ministers.

Good ways to ensure success in operations against the Naxals,
1. Involve the Locals.
2. Ensure Quick Medevac facilities exist.
3. Train them well and ensure they’re competent by first replying them in other less critical regions to judge their skills.
4. Good intel network, which will naturally fall in place due to point 1.
These 4 steps will exponentially reduce casualties and increase success. Of course occasionally shit happens, but these will definitely help in ensuring it rarely does. MH Govt. And police have done a good job partnering with Pawan Hans and other Helo operators to ensure Medevac and quick transport facilities are available to their men, but it would be preferable if they didn’t use civil helos and crew and purchased/leased their own with crews trained to operate in a combat environment , perhaps with HAL LUH it might be more feasible as Dhruv’s or other imported platforms are somewhat difficult to maintain and operate for State police forces. MH is blessed in this way as many private and state owned helicopter operators are based there, hence the LUH is critical for other states who need a cheap and easy to maintain helicopter to perform the above tasks.

Commie slayers.... I like the way you put it.

if only these guys had loitering munitions for heavy firepower.

There should be a clause that allows a greater security budget allotment for the states still suffering from commie terror, on the condition that they would induct more desi weapon platforms.

LUH is a cheap option for these units from the state budget and can be made available. Likewise, getting the Switch drones from IdeaForge as well as Rustom-H can be very helpful in making it easier to track and identify groups of Naxal movements in the thick foilage.

Also, smaller Rhyno drones can help in monitoring naxals setting booby traps to ensure minimal casualty for us.
