Does anybody know if anybody using or developing any facial recognition technology to help catch culprits? This is a relatively easy technology to develop in-house. I don't have the skills to do it but I know plenty of people in high school who have developed pretty accurate facial recognition softwares. Could be very helpful for police in nabbing culprits with extended helpfulness for other internal security issues as well.
In addition to this, are there any riot control tactics being taught to Indian police anywhere? Are any states also expanding policing budgets? Law and order is a big issue and this is a low ticket item that if resolved, can basically guarantee elections being won for 10 years.
