Security forces bury hatchet over Kashmir Police IG’s remark on CRPF

Top authorities of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have stepped in to resolve the controversy stirred by Kashmir Police IG’s unpleasant remark on CRPF jawans. Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbagh Singh and CRPF DG AP Maheshwari have spoken to each other after Kashmir Police IG Vijay Kumar had created a controversy after he alleged that CRPF is “not performing” up to the mark. They have resolved the issue through dialogue, albeit the fact that CRPF officers are upset. They said the criticism should have been conveyed to them privately. Both the DGs, Dilbagh Singh and AP Maheshwari, have tweeted complementing each other’s force and signalled that the matter has been resolved. “Synergy is the key to success,” tweeted AP Maheshwari Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police also posted a tweet complimenting role of BSF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP and CISF in maintaining law and order in Jammu and Kashmir. But, for now, the matter seems to have been resolved as it was not even mentioned during internal security review by Home Minister Amit Shah and subsequently by NSA Ajit Doval. A top officer said, “This is a hot summer and the synergy between forces on counter terror operation is more important at the crucial juncture, than bruised egos.” On April 29, the Kashmir Police IG Vijay Kumar allegedly said during a joint briefing that CRPF is a “showpiece” and the actual operations are conducted by the Indian Army’s elite Rashtriya Rifles (RR) unit with intelligence support from the police. However, sources clarified that Vijay Kumar’s remark was on “commandant rank officers” and not directed towards the entire CRPF. The Kashmir Police IG’s remark came after two terror attacks in North Kashmir region where six CRPF personnel were killed. On April 18, terrorists fired upon a party comprising personnel from 179 Battalion of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police. Three CRPF personnel were killed in the incident. Sources said that movement in the bunker was not followed as per the standard operating procedure — a charge CRPF denies, saying “trained men on the ground” decide course of action. Following the IG’s remark, there was another incident that occurred in Wangam on May 5. This time heavily armed terrorists fired at troops of 92 battalion deployed there. In this incident, too, sources said the internal feedback was that CRPF response was “inappropriate”. They said that the CRPF personnel allegedly scrambled instead of chasing the terrorists. CRPF, on the other hand, said they retaliated. The “unpleasant remark” was, however, not taken kindly by CRPF officers, which finally escalated to DGs of both forces. A source with knowledge about the developments said no security force is error-free. The individual who requested anonymity, said: “CRPF is a supplement to J&K Police’s operations and should not be taken for granted.” While the situation seems to have been cooled down between top level officials, CRPF officers are still upset with the Kashmir Police IG’s comment. A senior officer in JKP said, “Vijay has rubbed the CRPF on the wrong side. He will have problems in a law and order situation.”

Post above....

Look at the brawl above...... an IG Ops can not even tick off the CRPF on their constant and regular failures...... though he did not say the CRPF ran away from operations twice in recent past (as the article says). He only said "Not Upto the Mark"...

This though is not the first instance when CRPF has come down to almost revolting aginst their IPS bosses. I really pity those IPS officers who are posted with CRPF. This kind of ganging and Unionism can not be allowed amongst the officers of a force which claims to be and have been mandated to be the primary internal Security force of India,,,,

Something urgently needs to be done to this politically motivated Mandal Commission force or India will have a tough time. Before that Indian Army will have a tough time.....:daru:

Send them to Army minus their officers ......... :pound:

Amid lockdown, Kerala Police helicopter’s debut service will be to ferry heart for urgent transplant
Amid the coronavirus lockdown, when there are major restrictions on traffic at district borders, the state government decided to use the chopper as an air ambulance free-of-cost to transport the vital organ.

In a first, the Kerala Police is set to operate its rented helicopter for a life-saving cause on Saturday. The chopper will be pressed into service to transport a human heart from Thiruvananthapuram to Kochi for an urgent transplant of a patient.

Amid the coronavirus lockdown, when there are major restrictions on traffic at district borders, the state government decided to use the chopper as an air ambulance free-of-cost to transport the vital organ. According to officials, the heart is being transplanted from a 50-year-old brain-dead woman in Thiruvananthapuram into a patient who’s been waiting for a donor at the Lissie hospital in Kochi.

Kerala Police helicopter, bearing the heart, to be transplanted for the Kothamangalam native at Lissy Hospital in Ernakulam, successfully completed its first mission.

The procedure at the KIMS hospital in Thiruvananthapuram has started already. The heart is set to be taken in an ambulance from the hospital to the city’s international airport where the chopper is parked by around 1 pm. But with turbulent weather in the state capital, there could be a slight delay, said officials. The helicopter will then make the 40-minute journey from Trivandrum to Kochi and land atop on the helipad at the Hyatt hotel in Kochi from where it is set to be taken to Lissie hospital. Since the patient is extremely critical, the transplant has to take place today, said an official.

The helicopter was rented by the Kerala Police earlier this year from Pawan Hans for a monthly tariff of Rs 1.44 crore to be used in its anti-Maoist operations and during natural disasters. The government’s decision to rent a chopper for the use of police was heavily criticised by the Opposition at a time when the state’s finances were in disarray.

@Unknowncommando 2 bro you should correct this tweet because excluding the side folder variant, the fixed stock one with slant muzzle and the under folder one with slant muzzle are Infact the AR-M1 and AR-M1F respectively. I've checked the markings on both variants physically by myself and the fixed butt one with slant muzzle indeed says AR-M1 and underfolder says AR-1MF on receiver.

Yes I was about to delete that months ago. But forgot. I realised that later.
