Kuch bhi they're not that bad, you don't become a supapowa without enough hardpower blue water navy capabilities.
They just want some more funding which is why they are doing drama of FREEDOM AUD DEMOCRAZY KHATRE ME HAI.

They've done some snafus recently like that littoral ship and zumwalt class destroyer
Never discount the empire. They're the only country capable of deploying military power anywhere in the globe in 3 hours .

They have already built a lot of everything that they dont need that huge active shipbuilding anymore.

However, in case they go on a serious war and require reviving their manufacturing might then you will see Yankees building 1 new destroyer every 10-15 hours.

When they decide to go big, they really go big!
Chinka are catching up though and we are far far behind. Hence the friendship with USN and all the maratime agreements like camcosa Lemoa etc...we have no choice.
Shame on our bueracracy and corrupt procurement lobby

No Rafale deal signed nor any jv formed for Kaveri on current visit to Paris.
Obviously, anyone expecting any different doesn’t follow Indian defence procurement mismanagement

Only AONs exist, not even an agreement on the costs involved/support package/etc has been reached (talks haven’t even begun), best best cast scenario contracts are inked for one of these in 3-4 years (if another party comes to power, not a chance then), deliveries 3-5 years after that. As with most of the hyped up defence developments announced by this GoI in the last 2 years this is a thoroughly post 2030 dream

just like with the MQ9 MOUs this is just more PR spin for Modi to score brownie points in foreign capitals.

between now and 2030+ I’m not sure what the Indian military will be fighting with, across the board it is rotting
