Fake company and faker investment. Company did not even exist 1 month ago but sure they will invest $1 billion. None of their board of directors have a previous track record either, let alone in the semicon industry. Press X to doubt


Valid concern. Chinks are about to completely flood the industry with 28nm chips starting this year. Their new addition this year is 20x more than Tata's proposed fab. Tata's should be given more support to ensure price parity to local vendors
Ya'll Nibbiars, The Electronices firm was floated this year, but the Defence firm existed for years. The firms existed since 2000"s.


Most of the staff seems EX DRDO, OFB, Goverment Insuites, Academic Resarch, Military and even SCL officials.

The Legend Dr. Anil Kakodkar is the guest at the Bhoom Pujan not some Fake wannabe politicans.

Atleast the R&D Facility is happening and that's a great things.

Interesting. My bad then. But still the company you listed has ~100 crore revenue. Hard to see where the money is coming from

Ya'll Nibbiars That's why discussed only about the R&D and not about the Full Fledged OSAT. For now the R&D is getting constructed, the Full Fledged OSAT will depends on the fundings the receive. They have the talent what they now need to get is the funding and only the time will tell of they are able to or not. And said the Full fledged OSAT facility in two phases of some 1p years period.

Slap heavy tariffs on their SMCs & all finished products containing those SMCs. That's what it is going to come down to. The EU's already opened up an investigation into state subsidies of Chinese EVs. That's just a pretext to levy tariffs. If it isn't done it's bye bye EU automotive industry . Lock Stock & Barrel.

Same principle applies to other sectors of the economy. China's goose is cooked whether they go for Taiwan or not. It's going to be pretty similar to the oil embargo the US imposed on Japan which triggered off a chain of events leading to the bombing of Pearl Harbor . We know what followed then. The same template is set to be repeated.

The man responsible for China's 7 nm SMC. He'd probably deliver the 5 nm & lower nodes in quick time too. No wonder the in-house wumaos are in such a triumphalist mood .

We need our Liang Mong Song from the Indian nerds in Silicon Valley if we're to get where China'd be by 2030 in double quick time.

This is now a marathon turned 100 mtr sprint & we're the last one off the blocks . To those despairing , up until 5 yrs ago we weren't even in the stadium leave alone contention.

All this despite MMS announcing we'd get into the SMC business soon. This was back in 2012. Putting this information here for perspective to avoid people here indulging in their favourite pastime of breast beating.

Unless they come up with EUV machine it is not possible. Moreover, 5nm, 7nm node is a marketing hype. I read upon this topic little bit. So basically Intel and TSMC have totally different way of measuring the process node. Intel's 10nm has the same transistor density as TSMC's 7nm. So Intel is packing the same number of transistors with older node compared TSMC's smaller node. Now Intel has changed the way to measure process node. It is literally a shit show. At the end of the day how many transistors can you pack in mm2 of area. Reading about this topic a bit deeper tells us things are not that simple and black and white as it is.
