Sodion Energy launches indigenously developed sodium-ion battery for EVs
The company says sodium-ion batteries have a number of advantages over other types of battery chemistries, including safety, affordability, and longer lifespan.

Sodion Energy
Bala Pachyappa, Co-Founder of Sodion Energy with the sodium-ion battery.
Hyderabad-based Sodion Energy, a leading energy company has launched its first range of sodium ion batteries, becoming the first Indian company to launch it commercially.

These batteries can be used for a wide range of applications such as a UPS, starter battery and a battery pack. It has also developed its own proprietary Battery Management System (BMS) that is optimised for NIB cell characteristics.

Bala Pachyappa, Co-Founder of Sodion Energy (Co-Founder, Ampere Vehicles) emphasised that sodium-ion based batteries are going to become a viable, sustainable and safer energy storage solution for the future.

“Many of the battery markets that are currently being held by lead acid as well as lithium-based battery technologies. It is believed that the need of power storage is going to increase five times by the year 2026. Especially as a large population will shift towards electric vehicles, sodium-ion-based batteries will be a key component enabling this rapidly growing power storage space,” said Pachyappa.

The company says sodium-ion batteries have a number of advantages over other types of battery chemistries, including safety, affordability, and longer lifespan. They are a good fit for applications where fast charging and high discharge rates are required, such as electric vehicles which are required to climb slopes or carry heavy loads. NIBs also shine in applications such as backup power supplies, solar energy storage and even starter batteries for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

One of the biggest advantages of NIBs is safety, while fire safety remains a significant issue with of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), sodium-ion based batteries on the other hand pose very low to no fire risk when overcharged or in accidents.

Furthermore, sodium-ion batteries are also environmental friendly due to their simple recovery and recyclability. Sodium is 500 times more abundant than lithium. Lithium’s availability is also limited to a few countries, so moving to NIB batteries also has the added bonus of providing supply chain security.

Sodion Energy is Co-Founded by P Bala and Professor CC Hang, both have expertise in electric vehicles design and technology for more than three decades.

Sab kuch bata diya lekin energy density nahi batayi..
So take it with bucket load of NaCl.

Lol your post is prime example of white collar elitism.
In the US people do their own plumbing / electrical work and construction most times to avoid paying for expensive sevices . If our blue collar workers are so incompetent the white collar ones can do their own maintenance.
wouldnt call it white collar elitism , in my house the electrician fucked up a lot of things . not connecting the earth , fucker tightened a screw into a live wire in one socket . years later got a small shock while trying to unscrew it . unless u know the guy personally if u dont follow these people around - on what they do - they will fuck it up . its not just incompetence but most people are not professional and simply dont care.

This is a text prompt to video model. You just have to enter the text prompt, the AI will generate a 60-second high quality video for you.

Yeah and this effects software engineers how exactly ?
From the plugin that chat gpt will release after this other branches will be made for more specific styles of filmmaking ... And those that will make these branches will be software engineers .. it's the entertainment industry folks that are effected by your example.

Look at the level of sophistication the AI has reached.

Anyone still believing that AI will not replace software engineers is only living in a fool's paradise.
another one . amazing how the tech is leaping .

Is the female model AI generated too or does the face belong to a real human?

Edit -

Here is what went into the prompt -

Prompt: A stylish woman walks down a Tokyo street filled with warm glowing neon and animated city signage. She wears a black leather jacket, a long red dress, and black boots, and carries a black purse. She wears sunglasses and red lipstick. She walks confidently and casually. The street is damp and reflective, creating a mirror effect of the colorful lights. Many pedestrians walk about.

-----

The gait of the woman looks a little off to me. Could be deliberate imo.

Also, this is highly specialized use of AI where the production group develop the AI inhouse for their own use which requires developers.

And for general developers also, if you want to use for Production purpose then you need paid version of these AI tools.

It's been a long time LLMs got released, by now as per your claims majority of CSE engineers should've been unemployed and AI would've been doing everything.

LLM stands for large language model. They're aren't designed to do coding. Very soon, more advanced models designed for coding will be released, then we'll see the impact.

The firm will definitely pay for such subscriptions if it turns out to be cheaper than hiring FTEs. Essentially, productivity will increase, so number of resources required to do a job will decrease.

It's always been that way . Every sass or similar product reduces the need for devs . AWS for example has reduced the need for so many dev ops engineers.
This is fine ... If all software products had to be written bespoke the economy as a whole would be seriously effected and half the devs would rope themselves (or go and do farming )

The software industry will ultimately meet the same fate as the manufacturing industry.

Once upon a time, mass recruitment was the norm in the manufacturing sector. Today, massive plants are being run by just a few dozen or a few hundred people.

Software engineer recruitment will face a significant decline, with numbers dropping considerably from today's levels.
