Since Russia going for sanction are we ready get benefited by it .. ?
We also have 4th largest reserve of Rare earths. But even Coal mining will face agitation, rare earths expect CAA, FreeLoaders style protest.

That’s mostly because mineral reserves are owned by central government which creates rift between centre and state which is reflected at ground level

Foreigner powers have been engaging strategically in some regions of india for a long time . I wont go in to details .. This requires long term effort from grass root level ... Also identify interest groups , individuals .. In the name of democracy etc etc we have suffered enough .

Sorry, But we are 5th largest in terms of Rare earths. Estimated reserve is 6,900,000 tonnes out of which we mine 3000t. Also in recent decades we did not conduct a proper Geological survey in our country. Many believe we have a good amount of mineral resource. But we need to formulate reforms in Mining sector and also invest in compliance of companies operating in this Mining.

Also China dominates the Rare earth processing in global supply chain. In the same link I provided China utilize their 6 State own companies to do the mining. Also we have our own State own enterprise called IREL. But so far they operate on limited scope and may also suffer from productivity compared to their chinese counterpart.
We can allow only few companies in this sector and need to follow the way of how china managing this mining.

Modi plays very safe. He does not want the power to go even for a small period of time. These Congi and other opposition will spoil the things. They are very hungry because they are out of power for a long time.
Modi has had the majority for a long time and it's looking like he will get it in 2024 too still reforms are stuck

Regarding farm laws - Fingers crossed. This whole supreme court thing being brought in public and BJP's condition in Punjab indicates that it may be brought again.
Regarding infrastructure - India is a pretty dense country. We dont need to match the scale of China tonne by tonne. With a few exceptions we are doing very well in large scale infrastructure. Not building large scale Infra is not the biggest problem that we have..with a few exceptions like HCR and Mumbai Mahanagar infra getting derailed due to Shav Sena.

Low speed of disinvestment is one problem.
Farm laws are one problem.
NREGA is one problem.
Excessive non productive freebies are one problem.
There are tens of other problems but not building large scale infra is not one of them. True in past, but not in current times.

'Will Release Report on Farm Laws If Apex Court Doesn't': SC-Appointed Panel Member
'This should not go into the dustbin. It should not happen. I will make it public,' Anil J. Ghanwat has said.

19/Nov/2021
New Delhi: A member of the Supreme Court-appointed panel – which has submitted its report on the farm laws to the apex court – on Friday said that the purpose of the report is “over” now that the laws have been repealed and he will mull releasing the report in the public domain, if the apex court does not do so.
Shetkari Sanghatana president Anil J. Ghanwat said the panel’s report had been in “favour of farmers”.
While suspending the implementation of the three farm laws, the Supreme Court had constituted a Committee on January 12, 2021, to which Ghanwat was nominated as a member to represent the farming community.
Other than Ghanwat, the panel had Ashok Gulati (agricultural economist and former chairman of the Commission for Agricultural) and Pramod Kumar Joshi who is an agricultural economist and Director for South Asia at International Food Policy Research Institute.
The three-member committee, after studying the three farm laws and consultation with stakeholders, had submitted its report to the apex court on March 19.
Since then, the report has not been made public, despite Ghanwat having requested the Chief Justice of India in a letter dated September 1, to release the panel’s report in the public domain saying its “recommendations will pave the way to resolve the ongoing farmers’ agitation.”

With the elections over the opponents are themselves resting in peace and are in no mood to open flank. IMO the Govt wants to reopen the game by inviting them to fight. May be this time the stakes are less or different cuz there are no elections in mind. Or are they preparing ground for the upcoming Gujarat,MP elections which are also farmer priority states. Who knows this time Modi achieves in bringing the pests on board

Why do you want to be raw material exporting country? We should focus on exporting machinery.

Not raw material . India already exporting titanium ore to other countries . India is 11th largest exporter of Titanium Ore in the world. Baba Kalyani has been talking about establishing a plant to produce titanium .

Our titanium production are negligible and is most used for domestic consumption.
