Ya Nibba Indian Media is stupid and loves exaggeration. No company whatsoever never sets up a plant straightaway when entering a new market. Currently only a R&D centre is to be established in Bangalore. First Tesla will analyse the performance of its products and services in India then will decide to set up a Gigafactory in India or Not but no company will set up a plant anywhere in the world without analysing how feasible the particular market is. But First things First, we need a massive EV Charging station construction campaign in India as currently EV Infrastructure sucks badly in India, true its the best in the sub continent but shitty in comparison to the rest of the world.

in all probability based on India’s past record of bypassing key growth “indicators” landline internet brick and mortar banks etc, the country will directly go to home recharge with solar panels on top of the houses or apartments.

public EV recharge perhaps will not be a critical road block .

If the EVs are chinese then we should boycott it. And give him a strong message that we are OK with American or European made Teslas but not Chinese ones. Those have severe quality control issues.

Irony is that the Chinese factory built Tesla are the one with best quality and fit and finish over the US made.
German Gigafactory should start by this year end and should have the best quality of all plants.

Dixon is an Indian CM, BoAt is an Indian company that sells headphones under it's own brand name, they have received $100 million in funding and have said that they will relocate manufacturing of headphones to India, this twin wireless speaker contract is hopefully just the start.

The Cabinet Committee on Security has approved procurement of indigenously developed Tejas aircraft at a cost of about Rs 48,000 crore, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said.

'The CCS, chaired by the PM, today approved the largest indigenous defence procurement deal worth about Rs 48,000 cr to strengthen IAF's fleet of homegrown fighter jet 'LCA-Tejas'.

'This deal will be a game-changer for self-reliance in Indian defence manufacturing,' the defence minister said in a statement.
