Sure thats cool .And every state south of madhya pradesh (and including madhya pradesh) will be like what about us ?And the geography point is moot since roadways are being built in far more formidable terrain of the north east and kashmir. Considering that there is no ongoing project to link every southern capital + mumbai in this level of expressways is a head scratching moment for citizens not living in the northern plains.
Especially considering they are the far more economically developed.
There are multiple expressway under construction in southern India.
Surat to Chennai expressway.
Banguluru to Chennai.
Banguluru to vijaywada .
Raipur to vishakhapatnam.

And many more proposed.
Too many to type.
It seems entire Maharashtra, Karnataka and andhrapradesh are being connected.

So in due time entire South India will be connected to central and western India with expressways.

But due to geography it will always take more time and money for such projects in the south compared to north.

Not single day goes without disappointment and these parties proving that their loyalty lies somewhere else but not with India as if NGO and others were not enough.
Why is everything has to be so politicised in India.

one way to look at it could be..

because for large part of independent India, socialism was the priority. issues that were supposed to be resolved in 70's and 80's are being addressed now.

either way these conversations either in 80's or now, were bound to happen. might as well get on with it now.

normal person would think that if state have good finance/resources ,it will give more power/influence to themself , hence it makes sense to become buisness/industry friendly And here these anti- national chapris who themself goes to west for their own treatment keeping others in poverty.
I think solving these things slowly (debating and convincing everyone)will let us miss the train of supply chain distribution and we are not alone in this competition.
since these are only fringe minority better iron hand of state should be applied but then again that is also entirely impossible in ROI given our political, administrative and judicial system.

From the article :

The Bill had met with widespread protests both outside and inside the Assembly with even the allies of the ruling DMK, including the CPI, CPM, Congress, MDMK and the VCK registering their protest, apart from the opposition parties AIADMK, PMK, and BJP

SO, even BJP is opposing it. What a bunch of hypocrites.

All political parties are hypocrites. If I remember correctly one of the major opposition to the GST bill during the UPA II era was actually the BJP.

Don't think they 'delayed' anything; meeting left unions is an obvious jhumlabazi since they are DMK's allies. DMK is anyway enjoying a political vacuum in the state apparently; their opposition is too busy fighting among themselves.

At the end politicians do what it takes to get elected. That is why people must demand change. If people dont want change, politicians won't take the chance. Isn't what the democracy is?

Party A brings a law then Party B opposes it to come to power. Then Party B brings the law and Party A opposes it to come to power. Welcome to the garbage of dumbocracy. Earlier even i used to think politicians must have ethics, corruption is bad but slowly i realised that these are all integral part of this garbage called dumbocracy. We should either shun this system of governance or get used to it.

True, I also remember BJP fiercely opposed FDI in retail when UPA tried to pass it.

and it's not like companies in TN don't have 12 hour shifts, they pay 8+4, whether for 4 hours they pay single overtime or double overtime depending in negotiations with the company unions. these shifts may not be used frequently, but they exist.

by exempting the limitations by law, companies will not need factory inspector approval.

BJP's opposition on GST were on specific points, in their version of GST bill they had incorporated what they were demanding for. IT network and state taxes were some of the points if i remember correctly.

The only way to look at it is most of these commie unions are a class of paid trouble makers for Indian industry.
Now perhaps payments are being received from fellow maoist bros or maybe their parent parties are upset of not being paid as much as DMK was to pass this law.

Anyway as long as Stalin is serious about it all this union drama won't work.
