Yogi is no Modi when itv comes to economy, or at least he has not shown anything extraordinary till now.

KTR/KCR are most pro business leaders of a state at the moment, specially w.r.t. courting investments.

Also, they are much better at implementing central govt. schemes than BJP states themselves.

MK Stalin-led Tamil Nadu govt makes 2 policy U-turns in a day after facing criticism (msn.com)

The first policy to be put on hold was the Factories (Amendment) Act, 2023, which allowed 'flexibility' in work hours for desirable employees but would have in effect enabled select factories to extend the daily working hours of employees.

The provision extended the daily working hours from 8 to 12. However, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister Thangam Thennarasu clarified that the maximum weekly working hours would be capped at 48 hours.

efficiency or is it the scale that is making the difference?

Telangana needed 40 lakh new HH connections to reach 100%, starting point in 2019 30%.
UP needed one crore new HH connections to reach 40%, starting point in 2019 less than 2%.

Ya'll Nibbiars The Surat ones is mostly a Trading development, while this is a Intergated one from Manufacturing, Storage, Offices, Retail, and other facilities, and much larger in every term. And that's why 80,000 crore total Investment. You can say almost 6 times larger if gone by the total Investments. If belive the surat one was 15,000 crore total Investment half of which was the builidngs and remaining was the other cost borne by the tenants. And could be wrong about the cost of the surat one.

Lay bhari. Ye toh bas shuruvat hai. Once the airport work is completed it's gonna discharge a sea of massive investments in the MMR. Other developments in the country will seem like peanuts.

Even in BJP barring a few CM everyone else is only warming the chair or either opportunistic people riding the current wave. No vision,No ambition, no eagerness or urgency to get things done.
Political meritocracy is what we need.
stalin did reversal on labour code amendments. Well all those owning of property, media house etc is only good for Dravidian politics and intimating people who oppose conversion .
How does it will inspire any confidence when laws are reversed on first sign of street opposition and street opposition will always be there.

Why are we guys discussing TN labor laws when Stalin has stalled it
@ezsasa @Crazywithmath @Shuturmurg @shade
Laws take months to be notified and put in place once they pass parliamentary tests. Commies are their allies so some jhumlebaazi is due from dmk. What do you find so unusual about it?

Utter clowns ruling this country
These laws are almost never implemented. That is why both Noida and Gurgaon continue receiving FDI.

This vid explains pretty well the scenario with regards to aircraft production .. and why India may or maynot get a final assembly line. For one boeing has only one final assembly line outside the US in Australia that too for a drone which the austrailians funded.

What the fuck?
Edit: 2021 article 🤡
I'm from Andhra, I remember our CM Jagan doing this couple of years back. Immediately after the reservation Bill was passed various industrialists met him and convinced not to implement it. If I remember correctly, Kia motors even threatened to leave Andhra.(though they didn't go ahead with that)

Basically these kind of laws are created only to please the rabble voters. Technically they are unenforceable and also violate the constitution. As long as the state doesn't have special protections(like Inner line/Protected Area permits), I have the complete freedom to live and work wherever I want and this is guaranteed by our constitution. Sometimes, I wish our milards at SC spent their "valuable time" looking at blatantly unconstitutional laws like these.

lol Stalin, unexpected from a guy who has the whole state under firm control, :bplease: this is expected from Bhajipao, KT Bhajipao will also REPEAL the same law soon under Congressi bitch and whine because of KT elections.

Micron is having lots of trouble with China, so perhaps they are pivoting to India now. Great news if true. Anyone with access to the full article?
No, but in the few non-paywalled lines it is a "sutro se pata chala hai" news, it is not confirmed by Micron who are giving a vague statement.

Swarajya article has more detail, disable JavaScript on browser to read if some paywall comes

However an ATMP plant in India is very logical and is also what Tata is planning to get into, so it could be true
